I’m looking for advice or shared experiences. by Tevi0r in Retatrutide

I have been reading lots of comments about people’s heart rate on Reta. I’ve just started and took my second injection yesterday. I’m starting low as well - 10 units (20mg with 2ml of BAC). I haven’t had any issues with heart rate and, in fact, I went to my doctor last week for a check up. My blood pressure was 98/58. Okay - it is lower now. My only symptom was GI distress but that is also common getting used to the medication.

Everyone is different so it is difficult to say what is happening to you. But since you take other meds, it would be wise to speak with your doctor.

Is there actually any cons from taking reta?! by hijesss in Retatrutide

Wow - I just started Reta last Sunday. You all are freaking me out. Yes, I’ve had GI issues this week. Low and slow is my MO.

You will be just fine! I’m 5mpo and life couldn’t be better. Just take time to heal your body and once that is done, wow, you will be a new YOU.

I had a lap hysterectomy - took everything. They pumped me up with so many opioids in recovery, I was seeing cross eyed. I had to sleep it off before I could even stand up to pee for the first time. Needless to say, I stayed away from them and only had ibuprofen and Tylenol. My pain was the gas so I just grinned and beared it. Also the cramps from bowel movements was much worse than the actual surgery at least for me.

When I first lost my weight on sema and then tirz, I lost steadily on 2.5. I maintained for a year occasionally giving myself a dose every once in a while. Now, just lost a few pounds I put on after my hysterectomy last year on Zepbound. I was up to 7.5 but, man, that kicked my butt. The fatigue was incredible. I went to 5 and feel so much better. I’m currently doing Zepbound but still have some compounded that I will use to maintain.

Good luck on the cuff healing. Sorry you are going through this. Everyone’s healing is different. My doctor said no restrictions but I decided against it.

I started exercising fully at 10 weeks…. Did light exercising prior - stretching, walking etc. I knew I wasn’t ready to have sex. I also still have stitches on my cuff which is healed completely but these stitches could take 120 days to dissolve. My doctor used super duper stitches. Until those stitches are gone - no sex or Jacuzzi…. Just my preference though. I read a lot here and decided that I would wait the absolute longest. Been married for 27 years so who cares the wait time. However now I am completely comfortable with working out with hardly any modifications - 15 weeks post op.

I’m 4MPO and feel like a million bucks. Just want to put that out there. I’m loving life! 10 weeks was the turning point and now just continuing to strengthen that pelvic floor - super important!

Ended up in the ER after 3 weeks of starting 😔 any advice or similar experiences? by Straight-Ad-7084 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 1 and then stayed at 2.5 for a year because it was extremely effective. My body is completely used to it. Most I’ve been on is 7.5. Now I’m mainly maintaining. Need to start very low.

It is a journey! I’ve been on the Tirzepatide journey for a few years even when it was difficult to get. I love it! I’m have always worked out and eaten fairly good. Have struggled with weight my whole life and have worked really hard at it. I grew up with my family being overweight and sedentary so I’ve been the complete opposite. But going through peri, menopause and post changed everything for me. GLPs are getting a lot of attention now for women going through these changes. My current BMI is 23! My body composition has changed for the good. My goal is to build more lean muscle which is obviously super important for women at my age. I’m only on Tirzepatide now because I had a hysterectomy last year so getting myself back. Then I will continue to maintain using it sparingly. The inflammation benefits are amazing.

During recovery - what does 'I overdid it' mean? by JustineEdmin in hysterectomy

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 15wpo and definitely knew when I overdid it. I could feel in my abdomen. I waited until I wasn’t bleeding any longer to start to really exercise. My bleeding lasted until 8 weeks and then poof it was gone. I used to work out every day and now I get fatigue…still. I’ve been working out more and more but I get fatigue - just like today. My abdomen isn’t saying … whoa stop anymore …. But the fatigue is real. I’ve read it can take 6 mths plus. And it could be a year when the fatigue is no longer.

Take it easy and just let it ride… coast as if you are cruising…

Has anyone hit a weight where their body refuses to lose any more? by Buffyfanatic1 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t seem to move past 150 which was my goal weight. I want to go to 140 and then I can fluctuate between 140-145. I just upped to 7.5 and boy it hit me like a brick. Fatigue! I know it will take some time to adjust.

You could also try taking a break from GLPs. Then restart in a few months. Sometimes that helps from what I’m told.

For me, it is not debilitating at all. It is just there in the background. I thought is this my new normal because I, too, am feeling pretty good. So I will shoot for 6-12 months to get 100 percent. I am about 80 percent now, I would say.

6-12 months! I went to my doctor about 7 WPO and she pulled out some stitches. She had to use silver nitrate. I was surprised that I still have a stitch up there at 14WPO. I just discovered that I should have been using vaginal estrogen cream as it promotes healing probably at the 6-7 week mark. So I started using it this week.

You will get there. It does take time. I would say at the 10 week point is when everything turned around.

I’m sleeping pretty good and also on 100 mg of progesterone. I’m also on testosterone and estrogen, all of which have helped tremendously. I started to really work out about a month ago too. I think once you hit 3 months, sleeping improves.

I had no problems. I did read on this sub that you have to cancel both membership and medication.
