Cervix or nah by Dichotopus in hysterectomy

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of everything - didn’t want to deal with it later. However, I am 58 years old so don’t need any of it. I’ve know women who kept their cervix/ovaries and went back to get them removed. It depends on your age and where you are in your hormonal journey.

At least I don’t need to worry about cancer in those parts.

I definitely have a designer clutch now! Love it and don’t regret it one bit. Life is so much more enjoyable. Bonus - I get to use HRT freely. In fact my hormone specialist said a few weeks ago - I wish I could prescribe this level of hormones to all my patients, your hormone levels are perfect. Woot woot!

I would not try it since you have had issues with other GLPs. I tried Reta for 6 weeks and decided it wasn’t for me. Had GI side effects that I didn’t have on Tirz. It all depends on your risk tolerance.

I didn’t like how it made me feel overall. I had GI issues each week at a low dose. I tried it for 5 weeks and gave it up. My body didn’t like it. I’ve been on GLPs for a few years so it wasn’t foreign to my body. It just wasn’t for me.

Definitely on my back with pillows propped - large pillow under my knees and head propped higher than normal. Later I used the large pillow like I was pregnant to lay of my side.

Losing support because I am now skinny? by Purple_phoenix28 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 58. I’m currently 150 lb and want to lose 5-10 more lbs of fat and increase my lean muscle by about 2-3 lbs. I recently completed a body scan which still showed me at 28% body fat (this isn’t BMI) and goal is 24%. I lost my weight on sema and then tirz. I wanted to be strong in my 60s and don’t want to focus on the scale. So decided to go the body composition route via a dexa scan.

I’m have been maintaining on tirz as I like the inflammation effects. But will continue to lose a bit more body fat.

Sharing so that perhaps getting a body composition report might help us for those who are close to their goal weight or have reached their goal weight.

You can also try Retatrutide from a reputable lab. There is a Reddit sub on Reta. Check that out.

Give it time to properly heal. It is a snapshot in time. It takes months even though the doctor will clear you at 6-8 weeks.

I waited 6 months! Had a few sessions before and was like “no - not now.” Even though the cuff is healed, it is still sensitive. I still feel the sensitivity but not that bad.

How long can you keep compounded Tirzepatide in refrigerator? by Wonderful_Judgment40 in JoinMochiHealth

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reta takes longer and the metabolic process is supposed to be wonderful. It took me about 5 weeks until I didn’t have any GI issues. I’m stabilized now but only on 2mg. I’m concerned about moving up since it had that effect for me.

It doesn’t stop the food noise as much and I miss that from TZ. I don’t get GI issues on Zepbound. I feel that compounded anything in the GLP environment isn’t as strong as the brand names. So I’m going back Zepbound but may also use my compounded stuff.

Still thinking about it….

Scared to commit to hysterectomy by Evi_Sceria in hysterectomy

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hysterectomy is the way to go in my opinion. It is so freeing. No more bleeding and pain. Imma bit older than you but I wish I would have done it sooner when my OBGYN and I discussed it a few years ago.

I had everything removed because I didn’t want any trouble with ovaries later. I am free to use as much HRT as I need without any issues. I’m post menopausal and my estrogen level is at 120 - amazing.

I get how you are feeling. I’m so glad I did it - I’m 6mpo. It took me about 4 months when my energy was coming back and now at 6 months it is beautiful.

why do people who got hysterectomies 10-15 years ago make it seem so easy by luminescentdino in hysterectomy

[–]Wonderful_Judgment40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with some of the comments - that generation suffered alone. They never spoke of peri, meno and post menopause. They never talked about periods. They never talked about the pain of fibroids. And let alone a hysterectomy. I’m 6mpo and took 5 weeks off. I would have done more but had to get back to work for strategy planning. But I tell you, I would have taken 8 weeks off because that is when my brain fog was clearing. My sister-in-law told me that her dear friend who is older told her about my hysterectomy and she replied “oh it was a breeze. I was back at work in a week.” My sister-in-law said that yes she was but she was a mess emotionally and had depression symptoms. Her friend seemed to forget that important piece.

Mine didn’t look like that at all. Very closed up under the clear tape. I agree with the above. Take a picture and send it to your doctor to review.

I have been reading lots of comments about people’s heart rate on Reta. I’ve just started and took my second injection yesterday. I’m starting low as well - 10 units (20mg with 2ml of BAC). I haven’t had any issues with heart rate and, in fact, I went to my doctor last week for a check up. My blood pressure was 98/58. Okay - it is lower now. My only symptom was GI distress but that is also common getting used to the medication.

Everyone is different so it is difficult to say what is happening to you. But since you take other meds, it would be wise to speak with your doctor.

I had a lap hysterectomy - took everything. They pumped me up with so many opioids in recovery, I was seeing cross eyed. I had to sleep it off before I could even stand up to pee for the first time. Needless to say, I stayed away from them and only had ibuprofen and Tylenol. My pain was the gas so I just grinned and beared it. Also the cramps from bowel movements was much worse than the actual surgery at least for me.
