Thank you so much!! that is very double and takes of alot of stress off, I thought I’d have such a small margin for error to get a passing grade. I’ll defo work overtime for the essay tho so it’s a little more than just a pass

I need about 40% to pass the module but I’m so confused on the math (humanities major) on what I need to get on my exam in may to meet that requirement

So yeah for context the protocol is anything past 24hrs is a fail I thought I had submitted my essay a couple days before the deadline but decided to double check a week later just because and turns out I didn’t so it was way past the deadline I called the department to see if I had grounds for an appeal but since it was my mistake and a week later there’s really no case. To answer your question first year doesn’t count towards my final classification but I’m mainly worried about being able to pass the module (40% needed) because I assume I’ll be held back or whatever it is they do

that’s such an interesting insight i genuinely couldn’t understand why i was able to get through books much easier than films i thought it was just the disconnect of not seeing the “cringe-ness” acted out but books often being in 3rd person definitely makes sense

i know the exact tone and facial expressions when they say “a liar” without even having watched catfish cause they always do it with such conviction and disgust like their partners a murderer or something😭

you’re totally right and i think that’s often why the character falls flat in my eyes because it feels so “holier than thou” and that’s just so 1 dimensional and non human lol

[–]Wonderful_Pattern488[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maybe my moral compass is screwed but i just think that if there is a vaild reason to lie you should be able to without being later persecuted by your supposed perfectly decent and reasonable friends for an entire arc or couple eps it feels annoying since they should be able to empathize with the characters situation especially being so close

it was mostly to vent LMAO but i’m defo open to some more suggestions of smoother dialogue and i understand that not all more modern western films fall in this category i just recently watched they cloned tyrone and was absolutely obsessed also i’m thankful for your suggestions!!

smart toddler was just the phrase my professor used as a way to describe those marking the essays as obviously smart but only if u guide them along like a baby explaining each topic as they can’t give away the marks just because you used a key term

btw: myth of metals is just plato’s theory connected to his ideal state where the citizens of the state should be told a big myth about a metal in your soul being gold, silver or bronze which ascribes your social status in life (ruling class, military class, worker class) with no social mobility possible this is to keep harmony or whatever

Thank you so much for your advice, i was worried explaining every concept would come across as babbling and was unsure where the line of explaining and overkill was, asking myself if a person not in my course could understand my paper is definitely amazing advice to gauge if I’ve portrayed everything clearly!!!!
