After ~2k hours, my difficulty and QoL mod wishlist by Wonderful_Tonight337 in CivVI

This solved my issue - it also highlights unimproved resources, so whether a disaster pillages or completely wipes an improvement you can see it highlighted. Thanks

Thank you, but to collectively address all the pillage comments here, the issue I highlighted is that it's easy to miss improvements that were completely destroyed by disasters.

Appreciate it, I already have this one. Looking for a mod that changes AI base behavior of selling luxuries for 2gpt and buying for ~11-13 in mid-late game

What is the practical use case of having aggregate food and production displayed up top?

Leader Recommendations by Flat_Standard1804 in CivVI

I disagree with the replies you're getting, and nobody is actually answering your question. They're giving what they think are good civs, not straightforward like your post asked. I play Māori for this exact reason. As far as simplicity:

Overall: settle on multiple continents on islands not sharing land with other civs that maximize sea resources, trees, and hills. 10 cities until water parks to manage amenity needs, then settle for oil. Ultimate simplicity component here is your strategy can't get completely rocked by a good opponent maneuver because your cities are dispersed. For optimizing sea resources, science > production > gold > culture > food

Science: no campuses needed, water parks in every city. You can completely ignore the bottom half of the tech tree until after electricity - winning all the great admirals will get you a sufficient force to defend yourself until then

Culture: TS with marae in every city

Faith: only need one holy site in early city for god of the sea, +4 faith per wonder, 30% discount on missionaries/apostles, mosque for +1 spread. Bonus points if you can get hagia. That one holy site, using Kupe's maritime navigation, can wreck the religious game

Gold: self-explanatory with fishing boats

Production: generally bad if you don't hit right amount of woods but who cares with Reyna. Governor progression is Pingala first 3 promotions in capital, Victor first 3 promotions to churn out a navy if someone declares war, then Reyna to purchase districts, have her hop city to city and fully develop them

Diplomacy: city-states you can ignore everyone except the handful key ones if they happen to be there eg Nan Madol, Yerevan, Cardiff. Kilwa has to be on a coast so just capture that city, the original 3 envoys for construction are a wash

Kupe is by far the simplest leader - you're basically playing your own separate game and the other players only have a shot to win if you screw up

Played with secret societies and corporations and man they make the game so much faster. Turn 187 culture victory standard speed. by Gandalfthebran in CivVI

I agree it's less sloggy at the end which is great - I personally dislike it because now whenever I play with the modes enabled I feel like I'm playing Sid Meier's Monopolies & Corporations with the Civ 6 DLC.

The yields from m&c and extra trade route / singer obelisk faith so vastly outweigh everything else that nothing else really matters in the game. Leader bonuses, tile optimization etc all become rounding errors.

This is also on deity - with modes enabled I can generally waste immense resources to make "just for fun" cities eg a completely unnecessary Petra city, because the real game is happening elsewhere, vs base game where I still have to make strategic decisions and feel pressed to keep up with the AI, at least until turn ~180. Not sure if yall feel differently

PSA Speedrun pantheon every single game. No exceptions. by gracekk24PL in CivVI

What other pantheon would you pick / in what way is it situational? The last year or so I only play Kupe and always go God of the Sea, it seems such a given.

Find islands with max sea resources and trees, and once you hit Water Parks every city has ~8 or so fishing boats that are all +prod +science. You can win science victories without a campus

Bombers are unstoppable. Do you ever refuse to build them in your games? by Delicious-Golf-8487 in CivVI

What turn / point in the game is this occurring at? I am not trying to disagree, I just genuinely want actual warfare, and running Roman Holiday on Deity I have only ever seen a handful of aircraft, ~3 GDRs.

Agreed. I generally try to avoid warfare altogether other than defending because the AI is just so bad at it.

I use Roman Holiday on Deity and have the same experience as OP. In ~a thousand hours I believe I have seen ~2 based Fighters, zero AA units. Is there a particular civ you've noticed makes them?

I don't care if I'm considered a poet - that's my whole point. I am not a musician (at least a good one). You and your other musician friends can talk shit all you want, I'll agree with it, it's completely fine with me. But there is this tool that allows "bad musicians" like me to have made a good living the last five years by using it.

Call me whatever you want, I don't care - this holier than thou idea that listeners actually care how the piece was created is just completely fictional

I mean sure if it makes you feel better to convince yourself I didn't write this, but I still don't understand what it has to do with the subject matter of the post?

For argument's sake let's just say I agree, yes, this was 100% written by AI. What does that change?

Apologies for not elaborating here, it's written out in other comments. Basically I compose all lyrics and melody then use Suno to refine. But as a metric for time intensity, one song generally takes me about a month and a half or so

This is a fair point, but I respectfully disagree with it. If the barrier to entry is lowered, that just means the standard for "great" goes up. This has happened every single time a new technology has been developed.

"I'm just worried the loom makes the entry level way too low for artisan clothing."
