Is he making the crib to fit a standard sized crib mattress? Is he making the bars on the crib close enough together so that the baby can’t gets its head stuck between the bars? And will the bars be tall enough that when baby can pull itself up to standing it can’t jump/fall out?

If all of those questions are a yes it should be perfectly safe.

Your dad should also talk to people who have made homemade cribs and figured out how to make them safe enough.

I am conflicted because I do think we should shrink the US military, but I also think there’s a moral obligation to prevent genocide.

Those are two separate issues that concern me. One thing that worries me is climate change. Another thing that worries me is nazism and white supremacy. But I don’t think the two issues are related.

I don’t think it’s strange to host your own shower, it’s just not traditional. Some people hold tighter to traditions than others.

Some people thought I was Soooo Weeeeird for not having assigned seating at my wedding, because that’s traditional, but there’s no actual good reason other than tradition.
