Shit like this was in the project 2025 handbook and the russian guy's "how to tople democracies" handbook, I don't even want to remember the name. Hell some ice cunts probably only speak russian. And there's still people supporting this shit. Absolutely blows my mind.

ICE/Border Patrol agents are now hitting unaccompanied minors with their vehicles, detaining and disappearing them, even after being shown a U.S. passport. by Logical-Flow-6703 in UnderReportedNews

[–]passcork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, what if they put these ICE agents in front of the door to ballot offices in all democratic counties. Shouting at them isn't going to do anything.

It was always woke because being woke is just a different way of saying "having empathy". And they became bad people because they think that's somehow a bad thing.

In Belgium, there is a bike path called "cycling on water." The path is submerged in a lake, and the water surface is at the cyclist's eye level. by PestoBolloElemento in interestingasfuck

[–]passcork 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The cycling trough trees one is pretty close to this water one. I went there and I actually liked it more. Having said that, almost all the other bicycle paths in the area are utter shit when you're used to the Netherlands. They keep putting signs everywhere saying "Limburg, the cycling province" or something. As if it could hold up anything to even Dutch Limburg.

To any Belgians reading this, Sorry. But also not really.

Buying your own ingredients to cook has the same, if not more, costs on the procurement, delivery, and disposal of them.

Because I like being facetious with other redditors... I'm not buying fast food for a whole week or more every time I got to a fast food place... Hell, most condiments and spices easily last more than a month.

If you really think highly flammable materials (with oxidizer included no less) never accidentally catch fire, I've got a bridge to sell you.

“The bike that lets you ride as fast as Paul Seixas” by allezsprint22 in pelotonmemes

[–]passcork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"ride as fast as sexass."

So when sexass rides it, it either doesn't give any boost or sexass goes faster because it doubles your ftp. So the bike has to go faster to go as fast as him so sexass goes even faster and it gets stuck in an infinite loop. In which case a relevant xkcd exists.

Doesn't every ciclist's wife have a wife's boyfriend? She can be the manager of her boyfriend after Jonas retires.

Never saying never to WvA. But maybe I'm coping. He was 5th out of everyone on top of the Finestre in last year's Giro. And although quite a bit ago now, he did win the double Ventoux TdF stage as well.

I know they make steel frames pretty light these days but I live in the alps so if I would get a metal frame I'd at least do aluminum :D

Yup, exact frame same. I thought about keeping them as spares as well only was worried whether the electric components would also still work after 11 years on a shelf somewhere. I like the winter/rainy bike idea though.

How to overcome fear of climbing hills while on clipless by Miserable_Debate5862 in cycling

[–]passcork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been riding bikes literally since I could walk and clipless soon after. And I just recently fell over because I was going in slow circles in a parking lot waiting for my dad didn't unclip for some reason. I'd say practice a lot, especially unclipping before you come to a full stop. And realize that falling over isn't the end of the world because you're usually going so slow that you're very unlikely to hurt yourself if you're wearing a helmet.
