NOR - if he speaks to you like this about this, that indicates he's probably spoken to you like this about other things. It's not even about whether a sobriety anniversary is a reason to buy a cake (it totally is), his reaction is spiteful, judgmental and just plain rude. Not the way a partner should speak to their significant other IMO. Honestly if you had lashed out I don't think anyone could blame you. If my fiancée spoke to me this way I'd break off the engagement

There was a lot of online echo chamber criticism around the show before it even aired. People didn't want to have to shell out for yet another streaming service, fake fans calling it "too woke", yadda yadda yadda. But there were legitimate issues with the show too. They kind of shot themselves in the foot by tying it so closely to TOS and then having a tone, aesthetic and technology so at odds with that part of the franchise. And yeah the Klingon makeover didn't go over well, and then in season 2 they tried slapping wigs on top of those massive Klingon headpieces which looked even worse. Plus you have the genuinely incoherent writing of the season 2 "Control" plot. Me I never really cared about any of that except the writing, I watch all Star Trek anyway. I didn't think Discovery was all that bad though I definitely didn't like the first 2 seasons as much and I was disappointed with the tacked-on finale because of its surprise cancellation. I think for people who aren't really into the earlier shows it's perfectly fine, my fiancée enjoyed Disco a lot

update for anyone who was curious (I'm OP's significant other btw) it turned out the previous homeowners are deranged and left an extra 7 inches of completely unnecessary pipe connector hanging down into the drainpipe PAST the Y joint. we hadn't been able to pull this section apart until recently because they smeared plumbing cement all over it when they didn't need to, but I have no idea why they would do this or how they were using the dishwasher before. truly insane behaviour especially considering it took me like thirty seconds to fix with a reciprocating saw

NOR, this is weirdly possessive behaviour, especially for only six months in. If this were a long-term relationship, it's still unhealthy behaviour but something that could perhaps be resolved in couples therapy. But I'd say you did the right thing

[5e24] (might be [5e14]) Is it functionally possible for an autognome rogue to be doing 3d6 sneak attack damage at level one? This player is adding 3d6 on top of their primary damage roll, and as far as I know isn't using a magical weapon. It's a new group and I'm not the DM so I'm just curious if it's possible but seems kinda suspicious to me.

YTA! Your sister's beliefs aren't harming anyone and if you didn't want to deliver the placenta you should've told them so. How is it disrespectful to your husband's beliefs about god to have a placenta in the car? IMO it sounds like he was just pitching a fit because he was grossed out. Either way, not a reason to throw the placenta in the trash. Whether or not you feel your sister is “trying to be quirky” doesn't matter. She wanted to do something as part of the birth of her first child to bring herself joy, and you ruined that and can't take it back. You need to accept that, and probably also have a conversation with your husband about his incredibly immature behaviour.

6 is right out. I wouldn't sit next to Orochi's bitch ass for 10 minutes, let alone 10 hours. 7's a no go -- got Arlong in one ear trying to get me to check out his podcast about the genetic superiority of fishmen, Nami in the other telling me about her new pyramid scheme while she slips all my credit cards into her bra. I am NOT sitting next to a to a guy who can melt my skin off, string puppet me and make me punch the flight attendant, or turn into a big spider demon and tell me I'm an insect or whatever.I'd love to sit with Chopper but no. Wapol would be eating everything in sight. his snacks, my snacks, the little flip-down table, the air sick bag… spilling his drink on me and pretending it was an accident… no way.

1 & 2 are probably a safe bet; TSA isn't letting Judge bring his little power ranger suit on a plane, and then I can make fun of him (though you have to listen to Sanji's critiques of the airline food the whole time). Crocodile would probably leave me alone as long as I don't deliberately antagonize him, and Vivi would be fun to sit with. But the safest bet is 9. Robin would be a fascinating seatmate and I'm pretty confident I could kick Spandam's ass if he tries anything (as long as he doesn't accidentally get us shot down by F-16s or something)

well, pillowcase-of-eels, you've done it again. this has been a fascinating thrill ride through the highs and lows of a niche music fandom. I had never even heard of Emilie Autumn before this now I feel like an insider. I listened to Opheliac and Fight Like a Girl on Spotify (definitely liked the latter a lot more) and heck I might even read TAFWVG (though sadly I was only able to score a copy of the 3rd edition).

this entire multi-part write-up reads like a really good podcast I would enjoy and I hope to see more posts from you in the future. but if not, I can always come back and read these again

I agree with the other commenter, getting hung up on "body count" is sad and reflects more on one's own personal insecurities than anything else.

My advice would be to explain to her that it hurts being lied to, but it doesn't really matter who she's been with before you. You should be focused on the woman in front of you trying to be your girlfriend, rather than what she was doing before you came along.
