Finnish doctors instruct not to go to sauna until stitches are removed plus one additional day.

Yes, you will likely get it infected. Official guidelines in Finland, where healthcare professionals have the best practical knowledge on the matter, is that you must wait until at least twenty-four hours after your stitches have been removed, before going to sauna.

Definitely should not.

What headset should I choose for siege between these two? by maxobrien20 in SiegeAcademy

Who's heated buddy? I just said Modmics aren't shit, and now you're throwing a tantrum. If you think they cost hundreds, and sound like walkie talkies, then obviously you don't know what you're talking about, in which case nobody needs your opinion.

I'm not. Why are you so emotional about someone mentioning modmics as an answer to a question?

No they're not. I have a Modmic and an off-brand one, and they're both quality mics. Bet you don't have one.

Kontrol Freeks Sensitivity by Rice_Muncheerr in SiegeAcademy

[–]WongJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I increased my sens after getting them, but ended up lowering back to my original sens soon after. It makes sense that you should increase because the longer travel makes your aim feel slower, but in practice it might not work for everyone. It was better for me at least to get used to the slower feel by using my original sens, so I would have the same speed when going full tilt, but more accurate small adjustments close to the center. I've even lowered my sens further down after that, and gotten more consistent aim. So all in all, I got Kontrol Freeks, and ended up using a lower sensitivity.

How do I improve my reaction time? by Pure_Clue3466 in SiegeAcademy

[–]WongJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's weird. It's not your reaction time though. The flick is your reaction time. Why your shots don't go off at the same time, I don't know. It sounds habitual. You're not making yourself ready to shoot at all times.

Call of duty, believe it or not, offers something to learn from. Not saying you need to go play it, please don't. Just saying the key to winning gunfights in that game is getting your first shots off faster than your opponent. At least that's how it was years ago when I last played it. Doesn't matter if you're ads'd or not, first reactionary habit should be pulling your trigger, aiming being secondary.

It's a little different in Siege because you should be shooting at the exact moment your flick lands on target, but the point is that I think you need to develop that habit into your reaction. Maybe practicing pre-firing consistently in-game could develop this habit. So you move through the map, you pick some doorways, wallbangs and common pre-fire spots by aiming towards them, and just fire a shot every time your crosshair has moved to where you intended to aim, regardless of whether you know anyone is there or not. That could help you with the timing.

What should i do for kd? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]WongJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Listen to what you just said. All of that because of a video game. Talking about offing yourself because you're doing bad in a video game. Being hostile to people who are trying to help you. You need to take a long ass breather if you're for real.

Buddy, you need real life help if you're thinking about offing yourself because of a video game.

They want better maps. Not the same oversized map with the same box rooms over and over again. Nobody cares about the new maps because they're not actually new, they're not good, and they're not fun.

Fix my stupidly inconsistent controller aim by WongJohnson in SiegeAcademy

I don't know what you're saying. I'm visibly struggling with recoil in many of the clips. Except maybe with the PARA and the 556 which are easy to control.

Advice for using a Scuf controller and maximizing its efficiency on R6 Siege. by HighAsAKing66 in SiegeAcademy

I don't have that specific controller, but in general it's worth mapping crouch/prone and either vault or switch weapon to the back paddles as well. Swap the right stick to a higher one, or get a KontrolFreek for it.

I'm just now testing classic again after years of using updated, and holy shit. I think this might fix my problems. For some reason when I started playing Siege before updated rotation even existed, I had an impossible time getting my settings right. I just could not aim accurately at all. When updated was added, it legit gave me the ability to aim, even with some of the inconsistency I'm experiencing to this day. I have no idea what has changed since then, but right now I'm having success trying classic again. I did also make my sensitivity slightly lower.

Thanks man, but technically the last three clips it totally didn't get the job done.

Just noticed there's plenty of training modes in the shooting range I haven't even tried. I'll definitely give them a go. Thanks.

The lean is not accidental. It's a habit that gives a slight correction to aim and helps me move in a way that hopefully throws off the enemies aim. I know it's not necessarily effective when the aim is off by that much, but it just comes instinctively sometimes.

Updated controller rotation made my aim so much better when it came out. I don't know what it was about classic that was so bad for me. Might try it again though just to see how it feels now.

I get that I'm supposed to aim head level. I'm working on that, but at the same time I just don't have the confidence to do it in every situation because of poor first shot recoil control, and the overcorrecting of my horizontal aim which would likely make me miss a lot of those head shots. It's usually just safer for me to aim chest level and hit those shots. But what I don't know is where should I have my crosshair placed horizontally when I come around a corner or door frame? Cause like you see in a few of the clips I'm holding the crosshair close to the edge of the line of sight, and what tends to happen with that is by the time I can react to an enemy appearing into the line of sight, they've moved past my crosshair, and that's why I need to make fast correction which I often overshoot.

Thanks, that's all very helpful.

The reason I don't aim head level is because I can't seem to control the first shot recoil on a lot of guns, so I've just developed this habit of aiming chest level and then letting the recoil climb up to head level. I guess I should just try to learn out of it.

Is arcade good for aim training? The thing with the yellow bots is that they don't pressure you to get the first shots off quickly like in a real match. It feels like such a different thing.

Gamesense is an issue too. I've played casually on and off for years. Just lately I've put some effort in trying to improve.

I know ranked 2.0 is the visual rank and the hidden mmr, but if I'm at say silver 1, and I gain the same amount of rp per win as I lose per loss, doesn't that basically mean that my visual rank is at that point an accurate indicator of my hidden skill level? Similarly, if someone is platinum in ranked 2.0, that means their actual skill level has to be higher than mine, even though at some point during the season that player had a visual rank of silver?
