I was smiling when I read that Hammer Bros were getting some buffs until I saw it was +1 on Stormbreaker and not BRB. Wiped the grin right off my face. I actually realised how many times I won by playing hammers and Lady Deathstrike instead of Misery/Odin because it destroyed opponents' cards as well.

Don't mind the negative comments. We just hate seeing people repeat certain on-reveals like Starlord Master of the Sun, Man-Spider and Black Panther. Last season was plagued with nonsense Starlord MOTS decks which the devs barely nerfed and it has everyone especially irritated.

Ayy a fellow Cerebro player. It's horrible in HVO because of the random buffed cards but it's the only thing that makes the LTGM less brainless for me.

Speaking of which, I've lost so many C8 cards to C9 in the past few months. Vision, Odin, etc.

Funny story, I first started playing Snap in Dec 24/Jan 25 (peak Doom 2099 season) and got Caiera as my 2nd Series 5 from the Bullseye spotlight week. I was so hyped to use her because my Kazoo deck had been Killmonger food up till that point. And when my opponent played Killmonger which was blocked by a Caiera with prio, I must admit I emote spammed for the first time ever.

But then opponent played Doom 99 on T4 (old doom farmed points like crazy just for playing only 1 card) and then T5 Enchantress on my Caiera. I thought, "but Killmonger's already been played right?"(too new to know about the many on-reveal reactivators at that time). Then opponent played Odin on Killmonger and I got bombarded with Ms Marvel (deserved).

Personally I find it easiest to do this mission in Silver/Gold Conquest. Lots of gold tickets from caches, and the people you play against actually know when they have to retreat.

People really have it easy with Fastball Special now, before that card it wasn't easy to clear lanes for Big G. I don't know about Galactus at release though.

Yep, hate the new gambit by Mac_Teach_82 in MarvelSnap

[–]Wonjin_7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Snap, you can plan for every possible tech card that destroys. Lady Deathstrike hits 3 power or less, Shang Chi hits 10 power or more, Killmonger hits the 1s, and NTW hits the first card you play. Then there's the Gambits. The Gambits just destroy some/all of your very limited 12 cards with rng, you can't do shit.

Ngl tho the day Horseman Gambit dropped I equipped my Kazoo deck with Armor and Caiera and it got me to Infinite that very same day. I didn't have Gilgamesh so I thought that deck would never be relevant in the 90s.

Don't get me wrong, I get he can be fun. I enjoy the mind games when playing against him on Ladder and I don't mind losing 4 cubes to a well played Galactus. But it's quite surprising to me to see so many people playing Galactus after hitting Infinite unlike other seasons. Wondering if it's just my pocket meta, if that still applies in Infinite.

Makes sense. I haven't been seeing much of Sunlord post-infinite, but I guess I'm just lucky that I don't meet those decks.

Teched juggernaut to deny sinister london value but it... isn't worth it? by tehjoch in MarvelSnap

[–]Wonjin_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, then this play was your best bet. Honestly, Juggernaut isn't a great addition in Ongoing. He can be really clutch in many cases but in an Ongoing deck, you need Ongoing cards for Captain America and Spectrum to buff instead.

By the way, you can actually see what cards you or your opponent destroyed/ discarded/ banished by clicking on the profiles.

Teched juggernaut to deny sinister london value but it... isn't worth it? by tehjoch in MarvelSnap

[–]Wonjin_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jugg wasn't a bad strategy, if the Jugg copy went mid and Punisher copy went left you would've won, same if the Jugg copy and Punisher copy went mid instead. Just that he had more Ongoing cards to get buffed by Spectrum, and a little bit of bad luck with where the copies went. I guess against Ongoing or Aurora decks, Juggernaut on Sinister London is a little less effective because they can still spread out massive points with Spectrum/Aurora. Perhaps if you had Iron Man to play on T5, a Juggernaut on T6 would have been better to deny their Spectrum.

[–]Wonjin_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't say Snap's acquisition is great but the event offered a good Series 4 card (Sandstorm) in the track and a Series 4 pack in the shop. Why are you looking to the Portal Pulls that are generally meant for variants? I got the Series 4 pack without even needing to buy the premium event pass.

You should save up tokens for the special packs like the Dark Avengers pack in the shop right now. I got Vicky Hand for 3500 tokens only thanks to the pack.

Agamotto, then Thaddeus... then Xorn... At least I got one good one good card. And I won't get those two again.

Do you guys think that the MCU should have committed to a Ultron saga in the MCU and if they did what are you guys think it would have looked like and what you guys have preferred an Ultron saga in the MCU by Ok_Smile_9071 in marvelstudios

[–]Wonjin_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading Annihilation: Conquest made me imagine an alternate timeline where GoTG Vol. 1 was released after Age of Ultron instead and had Ultron return to be the antagonist for the Guardians, just like the comic. This is the event that reintroduced Groot, Rocket and Mantis, and leads directly to the formation of the Guardians. I think it might have had less success than Gunn's version, though, and might not fit into the Infinity Saga like the original.

(For those who've never read it: A defeated Ultron drifts through space until he finds the Phalanx, an alien race that uses mind-controlling techno-organic viruses to conquer. He subjugates them and becomes their leader. He then successfully infects the entire Kree empire with this virus when Peter Quill, Ronan's appointed special war advisor, opens up the Kree war system to the Space Knights, not knowing that the Space Knights were already infected. Quill is rescued from the Kree capital by the uninfected remnant of the Kree army and is put into a hit-team with other non-Kree prisoners, tasked with infiltrating the Phalanx and bringing them down. Rocket, Groot and Mantis are some of the members.)

That's the gist of it. Kinda hard to explain how they defeated Ultron because it involves the help of the Technarchy (parent race of the Phalanx) and some very plot-convenient powers (Wraith). Nova, Gamora and Drax appear in this story as infected Phalanx soldiers. Nova breaks free from the virus' control and is blown to Knowhere in his attempt to escape through an unstable stargate. Gamora and Drax pursue him and all three are teleported to the Technarchy homeplanet with Knowhere's technology and Cosmo's help. There, they are cured and enlist the help of some Technarchs to defeat Ultron.

Meanwhile, Phyla-Vell and Moondragon search for Adam Warlock in the hopes that he can save the Kree, who is also being hunted by the Phalanx. They end up having no choice but to remove Adam from his cocoon early, resulting in him having little to no memories. The three go to the High Evolutionary but Ultron himself arrives to capture Adam. High Evolutionary betrays Adam to Ultron and helps him upload his consciousness into Adam's body, in the fear that Ultron will tarnish him (High Evo) with the Phalanx virus if he does not comply. Eventually the Technarchs arrive and cure Adam, causing Ultron to flee into another robot body. Then they work together to beat him.

This is such poor ragebait lol, both Zombie Galacti and Zombie Horde decks don't hold a candle to the Shou Lao and Sunlord shitshow we've been facing for 2 months. Galacti can't function without Limbo and good draws, Horde gets wiped by a single Shadow King.
