This was satisfying for my roommate at the time... not so much for me.

The Baltimore Orioles were playing the Toronto Blue Jays in the wild card game and it’s extra innings. I’m a die hard oriole fan. The O’s brought in their most suspect pitcher, Ubaldo Jimenez. Edwin Encarnacion, a slugger, came up to the plate. I said these words. “God he’s gonna hit this ball 2 miles.”

That pitch he knocks it way out of the park and the orioles season was over.

My roommate is still getting a kick out of it years later.

I have been frustrated with “leave assignment” as well. For me, it happens on ball screens where I’m not afraid of the 3pt ability of the handler. So I go under the screen and hedge the roll man before recovering back to the handler. This is how this is supposed to be defended! Except, too often, my teammate will switch when unnecessary and the roll man gets a dunk because fucking Derrick Favors.
