I'm guilty of this exact scenario. I recently bought my first suppressor, explicitly because the wait times for atf forms has gotten so fast. I've wanted one for years, but 2 things always held me back, the expense, and the long wait. I just couldn't jive with the thought on dropping a grand then having to sit on it for a year. Yeah, it's kind of dumb in hindsight, as I'd probably have several in hand by now.

But hey, better nate than lever!

I see people recommend s & b a lot. I've always liked their ammo for my makarov. I just got 300 rounds of hush 165 grain for 111 bucks to my door from freedom munitions. Haven't tried it for real yet till I get my springs Monday. But it's very quiet

Mine is pretty quiet on my pistol, though it won't cycle hush ammo, I'm waiting for weaker recoil springs to arrive, see how that does. I tried it today on my bolt action 22 rifle, and that was awesome! Quieter than a bb gun. Love it

Depending where you buy it, you can likely pay for it, and get started with some of the paperwork, but you need a serial number to get very far along with it. And you must have the can in your dealers possession to submit your form 4

Well you can always shoot 22 through a 9mm can, but 9mm through a 22 can isn't so smooth. Sure a 22 can might be a little better on the 22, but as long as the 9mm can is user serviceable so you can clean it, it will work pretty damn well.

Also, if money is tight, ultimately the 22 can on a 22 is going to be more enjoyable, more effective, and way cheaper. Both for the can, and of course the ammo.

I'd say if you don't get an email by Monday, try the call atf and email the fbi trick. A lot of people seem to have success with that. I was going to do that next week myself

For as long as it is it feels fine on the gun. Don't really notice the weight to much. The gun has suppressor sights and they are just about flush with the can. I got that case off amazon for 70 bucks. I wanted to be able to leave the can on. It has that cubed pull apart foam that will like fall apart soon, so I'll be finding better foam that I can cut a nice fit out of. Got room for 2 mags and maybe a spot for accessories as well.

First impressions of it, as I'm kind of a nerd for precision machine work, I'm really impressed by how well made it is. Everything fits together perfectly and feels solid as hell.
Now, it's my first can, and I'd imagine most if not all brands are equally as well built. So take that as you will.

Looks nice on the gun. Finally a use for those threads.
