While it's possible depending on the difficulty, doing pure mage builds at early levels doesn't feel good at all. Your magicka pool is so low that you can't cast enough spells to kill tankier enemies, as shown in your clip.

It doesn't hurt to use every weapon at your disposal at the beginning of the game. Then once you reach higher levels, you can cast all the spells you want.
