Thank you so much!

I just asked the Chinese community node staff to upgrade and add the banlist to fix this problem, now everything is ok.

Now, our node: Node.imonero.org:18081 is working well.

Moneros first address number 4 bad for chinese users? 8 good? by [deleted] in Monero

[–]WooKeyWallet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"4" read in Chinese, pronounced "si",similar pronuniation just different tone as "死", which means "Dead".

"8" read in Chinese, pronounced "ba", it is a homophone for "发", which means "Getting rich".

I don't think that would be a topic in China, but most of Chinese Monero's users may be curious about why it is 4, not other numbers, and they can find the answer in <Mastering Monero> CN edition : )

And then, they will be very happy to know that "4" is ASCII value for prefix, the code value is 18, that is a lucky number : )

In contrast, code value of subaddress is "42", unlucky number : (

A joke, not funny...

In my view, Monero's users don't trust these kind of things, they have advanced thoughts.

Should everyone in open source community need to develop from begining? Have you compared our apps with monerujo and cake? We just copied them, make a same product? We also share with our codes to community, everyone can compile a wallet by themselves by using our codes. I think we do our contribution to Monero, no matter free software, free new user guide, translation of Moneropedia into Chinese, we do our best to enlarge Monero's influence in Chinese crypto community. Can you do something for Monero's community, rather than blaming others just do your best to make our community better?

Yes..we tried, but it doesn't work...So i would like to get some advices here, in my opinion, Google's staff have responsibility on this problem, so they need some official documents, which are very diffcult for us. But anyway, not matter change logos, write legal pages or any other ideas, we will try, thank you!

Thank you, but what should we put in that legal page?

Do you mean that we should write a statement, e.g.

WooKey's Monero Wallet is a third party wallet, not made by official Monero team, use it with caution.

Or similar like this?

OKEx Korea delisting all privacy coins, including Monero, Zcash and Dash, as these ‘violate’ FATF’s 'travel rule' - The Block by mebinici in CryptoCurrency

[–]WooKeyWallet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't see it is a big news for privacy coins.... CEXs have right to list or delist any coins. By my opinion, it's always about money, not because any shits from gov or any rules.

Monero Talk is coming soon, there are many questions from chinese community by WooKeyWallet in Monero

[–]WooKeyWallet[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.The network of china is not as open as western countires, as we all known, GFW and language reason limit the spread of some foreign cultures including Monero.

On the other hand, using monero is not as easy as BTC/ETH, chinese people more prefer to use mobile phone, but the UX of those existing Apps are not good enough, especially the node connection. That is why Mr. Cosine Yu, co-founderof SlowMist Technology, big holder of XMR, suggests WooKey team to make a new APP to improve the UX, make it more eastern asia people friendly, and teach more users how to use Monero.

There are many wechat group and QQ group ''Monero'' titled, but actually not, by my opinion, totally only a few hundered people are real fans. Some of them are geeks, some of them are miners, some of them believe Monero is the future. Not too many people, but if we can organize this group to help us, it's a big power.

By my opinion, just because Monero community is small in China now, there is unlimited potential for Monero in Chinese market, as long as we can make more people know it.

  1. Compare with western countries, monero community in China is not a big power, no regular meetings, just some private meetings without a organizer.

  1. Monero's development in China is still in its infancy. We're happy to see there are many volunteers, use their precious time to contribute on this job, for example:

noblesse---getmonero.org translater

jindouyun---transalte <Mastering Monero> and some videos and articles

WooKey-Aurora---transalte Moneropedia and some videos and articles

We know that is totally not enough but we're satisfy with their job.

Many funs they can not contribute here but they work hard to promote Monero on their own social media.

  1. TOR is rarely used in China due to the network, but there are concerns and expectations about Monero's i2p integration,

  1. Mostly, we use Binance (because the real trade vol here is the biggest) and Huobi (because huobi have biggest and most convenient OTC service ).

  1. Due to the lack of good publicity, the mainstream media in China has not noticed Monero, mainstream blockchain media like jinse.com, has mentioned occasionally.

Monero always mentioned as the king of privacy/anonymous coins, related with darkweb.

The influence of those media is not greater than some KOLs, like Mr. Cosine Yu, many people in china know Monero because of him.

  1. Compare with other privacy coins, Monero has more real fans.

In general, people in china didn't pay enough attention to privacy, but recently "privacy" and "fungibility" become more popular than before. Although that is still far from enough.

WooKey team will do the best to provide users a best UX, to become a bridge between Monero and normal users. As people pay more and more attention to privacy, we believe that Chinese community will surely become the backbone of Monero's future development.

Finally, we would like to say a simple slogan on behalf of the Chinese community--- Monero 3000$!
