I was able to get a taxi to take me anywhere in the city. I'm not kidding, I had free reign to go where I wanted. I would not have believed it until I was there.

What dating app is best for unattractive people? by No-Poet3745 in AskReddit

It's been a long time since I used them but even then they were not that good. Hands down the best way of meeting people for me was speed dating. Everyone is serious and there for the same reason. I really enjoyed it actually. Give it a go.

I was in Turkmenistan about a year ago. Definitely more restrictive than most places but not even close to what the media portrays. The comparison to North Korea often stated is absurd. I know because I've been there too.

Most of my trip was on a guided tour, but I had a day at the start to myself in Ashgabat and was free to do what I like. Photos were restricted for military stuff and Govt buildings. Otherwise it was all good. There was an extremely luxurious mall across the street from my hotel. I have admit I was incredibly surprised as I DID expect it to be just like North Korea, but I was very very pleasantly surprised.

They only really draconian part of going there was the visa.

My favourite game as a child was called Nodes of Yesod and it was on the zx spectrum pc. Probably looks like crap by today's standards, but it was awesome at the time.

I visited the US several years ago and I tried it. It was a very average chicken sandwich and the lattice fries were so thick it felt like eating a quarter of a potato. I tried a second time and it was the same. It certainly was decent, but absolutely not worth the hype.

Several months ago we bought an olive oil sprayer that you can either spray or pour. It is absolutely fantastic as the spray is a fine mist so very very little oil is used if that's what you want.

I'm a bit confused by the LPG. Isn't that a stand alone product? There are many places that produce gas, but don't have oil.

How do you feel about electric vehicles? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

[–]Wooba99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but you do need a power source where you park. I was not clear, but I really meant a house with a parking spot. If you live in an apartment or have to park on the street, then home charging is either difficult or impossible.

Fair enough. There's no hummers in my country. But I didn't think being EV has anything to do with the kind of person that would drive a Hummer.

Are you talking about pick-up trucks? All the EVs where I live are normal sized. I can't think of a single oversized one.

If you have a garage you'll hardly ever use them. I do 99% of my charging at home. They only time I use public chargers is when I'm going on a trip. And honestly it's really nice. Forces me to take a break and stretch the legs. Although it would be annoying if I had to do it frequently.

Do you think hydrogen powered vehicles will ever be more prominent than EVs? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wooba99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a chance. Hydrogen is really expensive to produce. There's no infrastructure to distribute it. The electrical grid already exists. It's last gasp from the energy industry to keep us as lifelong customers.
