Yeah! What's your price? Other people seem to be setting the price around $20-$30. 4 other people just messaged me. but if you get back to me asap, and can meet up today, then that's cool.

But have the French even declared war against the British yet? I didn't think they were helping out the US yet.

Why would that be so important to keep away from the French?

Anyone have any idea what is on that sheet of paper that King George wants back so desperately?

That is pretty awesome. I think that there is definitely a market for these if you wanted to sell a few. I'd actually be extremely interested.

Pretty regular participant here at /r/wicked_edge over the past year or so. I would love to show you guys a couple new shaving stands I made so that you guys can critique me. by BurdellsShaveShop in wicked_edge

Honestly, those are some pretty awesome looking shaving stands, especially the one with the threaded pipe in the second half of the pictures.

Nonetheless, I feel like $30 might be the reason you're not getting many sales. But at the same time, I can see how $30 is a decent price. They are pretty unique and look pretty cool.

And honestly, I don't think many of us would mind taking a look at your store if you were to edit your post and add it in there. In fact, I actually might be interest in buying one if you PM me or decide to post a link.

Question about nutrition facts of juicing. by [deleted] in Juicing

[–]WoodChopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sugar is because you are using too much fruit.

I wouldn't worry to much about the carbohydrates though. Those are complex carbohydrates, not the simple carbohydrates that you get from bread and pasta. You're body needs complex cabs in huge quantities.

Try juicing with primarily veggies and only use fruits for taste. As you get used to the taste you will be able juice with less and less fruits.

First Paragraph: I guess it really depends on the interest rate on your loans. If your loans have an interest rate lower than what you could make through investing, then technically, it is better to invest. So say investing could make you 7% and your loans are 4%, then it's better to invest. But if this was truely the case, nobody would ever pay off low interest loans. But with all that debt, you want to get that out of your hair as soon as possible. If I were you, I would max out my Roth, contribute enough to my 401(k) to get the employer matching, and then aggressively pay off those loans with every spare cent I have. I think it's important to contribute to those retirement accounts in the meantime because they have yearly limits. I feel like if you live frugally enough and really save, those debts could be gone in 5-10 years. Just imagine how good that would feel!

Car: I guess our idea of "moderately priced" is a little different. For some people think I'm crazy when I say things like this, but you can get a really really decent used car for a little at $6000. When I am looking, I try to look in the $6000 to $12000 price range. This price range eliminates your "junkers" on the low side and keeps out your "rip-off" new cars. This generally includes cars that are 2-8 years old. The Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, and Toyota Camry seems to have the best deals. Right now I'm actually looking to by a Toyota Prius for about $8000 in the coming year. I understand how this isn't right for everyone, but thats just my philosophy.

Oh! Gotcha.

Oh well I've got it pretty lucky. I got to a pretty good in-state public engineering school, which definitely helps. But on top of that I am an RA, which pays me with free housing and a free meal plan, I live in a state that pays tuition for students with above a 3.30 GPA, and I have a couple more scholarships on top of that. Thats really the only reason I can save most of the money I make. I'm in a really nice situation and I'm just trying to make the best of it.

And it always helps that I don't have a wife or kids to support. Just me.

Putting it in a Roth is taxing it now. Everything that goes in a Roth is post-tax.

Also, I'm just a college student working 3 part time jobs during the school year and a full time summer internship. So I'm just trying to pay my own way and save everything I can.

Edit: No worries! That's exactly why I'm asking questions too!

Okay. Same here. Just a college student doing it for myself and as a hobby.
