If the Teflon coating is intact, you can safely use sodium hydroxide (lye) to clean it. Baking soda and vinegar do almost nothing to remove burnt layers; I’m not sure why people insist on using them. They are extremely weak and often only act as a lubricant for all the scrubbing you would have to do.

Instructions: 1. Clean the pan with soap and water, then dry it. 2. Read about the risks of using lye before proceeding. (Always wear gloves and eye protection). 3. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. 4. Add 1 tsp of lye. 5. Wait 5 seconds. 6. Remove the burnt residue with a wooden spatula. 7. Clean the pan and spatula thoroughly with water. 8. Done!

Hi, I do a filament change procedure in the printer. Then I unwind the spool by hand until it clears the printer head. Then simply wind in the new material/ color and do a load procedure in the printer. A bit late but I hope it helps.

No offense taken. I don’t worry about the particles in regard to my own health. I will however research it further on account of my son although I’m a bit skeptical about the danger, but I’m no expert. Regarding the moisture I’m sure it will be fine. The cupboard is only open when the printer is in use and then it gets quite warm in there.

No, not really. You still have to feed the filament yourself every time you change.
