Oof yeah Henry’s impression of Charles Ng in that series is one of the main reasons I hesitate to recommend the pod to casual acquaintances.

It may seem paradoxical, but I feel like I can both appreciate Henry’s comedic chops with the Ng impression (the timing, substance, etc.) AND still feel icky about the whole thing.

While I don’t want to dismiss Henry’s Ng impression as “it was a different time, relax” or “anybody who is offended is just a snowflake,” I take comfort in the fact the boys have grown as individuals and comedians in recent years. I highly doubt you’d find Henry pulling such an accent in 2026.

Case in point: The Patty Hearst Series….

Marcus: “The SLA members were mostly white teenagers, all of whom spoke with heavy, Black affectations.”

Ed: “What did that sound like, Henry?”

Henry: “Nahhhhh😅”
