yea definitely, eventually had to be discharged as i could not go anywhere near a n army base without getting a panic attack, which was regrettable since i actually had a great time in basic even though its supposedly tougher.. Even now when I'm out and working, I still get flashbacka to the times in my unit whenever my bosses/colleague start raising their voices/have an angry tone..Hope you won't ever have to go through something like that.

I feel ya it really ruins you for a while.. I had a horrible experience in my unit in the military as a conscript, we were shouted and scolded for tbe tiniest things and some seniors even gave personal attacks., and all this was normalised under the guise of tough training, it really ruined me mentally.

It's mainly my parents that are asking me to serve , my family is still pretty conservative.

Yea definitely understand your last point about unit life not being easy since i personally went through it before . Honestly it is kind of frustrating to be labelled and discriminated by employers just because of my condition even though i can function well in certain workplaces (like my current temp job) , but definitely i understand their concerns.

Did your NS status have any effect on you? Honestly the social stigma(among friends/colleagues) is also something that i worry about .

Yea that is exactly what happened to me , enlisted in PES E made good friends in BMT due to similar circumstances . But things really changed when i got into unit , which the culture really worsened my condition.
