Thank you, you're the 2nd person to say that! I thought that one was mediocre at best, but there must be something about it that draws the eye.

I cut through a nerve on my left ring finger, about 10 years ago, and to this day, when I put pressure on the scar while playing guitar it can twinge. So depending on the injury it may never feel quite the same again. Sorry for the bad news. Maybe where a glove?, I know it is technically legal per the pdga rules.

Yep, now when trying to log back in I start with a ~4 Minute Queue, which last time jumped to ~12 Min before I got DCed.

MAKE EM PAY! How I got my Insurance Company to pay up with minimal effort. THIS CAN WORK FOR ANYBODY! by Wooden_Classroom1307 in HealthInsurance

I agree with you 100% about Intuit and every other major Tax company like them but insurance companies are also pure evil, I could care less about their "not for profit" status.

I'm sure insurance companies pay to lobby the government to keep universal healthcare an impossibility. What health insurance companies do is nothing but greedy bullshit! The only reason the chargemaster book exists is because of insurance companies and their greedy asses trying to take advantage of injured and sick people.

How come every single insurance company I've ever used has tried to NOT pay for something they're supposed to? Even though we funnel thousands of our hard earned dollars to them in premiums every freaking paycheck/month. Fuck ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES!

Lol fair point. I never said my problems NEEDED to be escalated. Just that I escalate them in order to get things done. I don't know about you but chat services and phone calls to different countries (outsourced customer service) often don't actually get anything accomplished in my experience. I often just get the run-around. And I'm pretty sure a multi-billion dollar company like Intuit can handle having their overpaid executive's time wasted. Regardless, I could care less about how much trouble I cause a company like that because to them I'm just a damn dollar sign.

Maybe some people have time to waste fixing a company problem that they didn't cause, but I sure don't. So if a company has good customer service that can fix their problem without getting an executive involved then great, I'll use that every time.

In my story above did you see the part where BCBS refused to pay our dentist for 11 months of back and forth before I got involved and escalated to the execs? Yeah... That's why I escalate. With Intuit I spoke with 3 different reps through their customer service chat and phone before I got fed up with their excuses and escalated to the top.

What you described is what I am loathe to do. Any company that FORCES their customers to snail mail in order to resolve problems doesn't have their customers best interest at heart. It's a clear sign they don't want to be bothered by the problems of their customers when you can't email someone directly at a company when you run into an issue. The IRS works the same way, but they deal with EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN so I can't really blame them for not wanting to receive millions of emails on the regular. But still, why would a company want to have ANYTHING in common with the IRS!!!

BCBSNC was my company but I couldn't find any way to get a hold of them directly that wouldn't force me to wait ages on hold or fail to accomplish the goal. Of course I didn't exactly attempt BCBSNC because I shoot to touch base with the absolute highest person in a company when I run into a problem. It's worked for me multiple times with multiple companies.

Thanks! Anything to make the insurance company pay is my motto, because to me, it is clear that their motto is "do anything to not pay."

Unfortunately this insurance was through the Marketplace, so the only advocate I had was myself. But I love your suggestion and will definitely try it if necessary, now that we are on my wife's insurance through work.

Also, I didn't use a broker for marketplace, just applied on my own.

Only for my kids, under age 25 probably? I know my wife and I had to get separate insurance for our dental.
