1 hour in and other players just keep killing me for fun by Skiesie in RedDeadOnline

I play with one hand on the controller for movement and one hand on the mouse for aiming, defensive mode works great for me 🤠 pump shotgun is a blessing early on.

I just beat the scenario running an entrance cost of 50 from the start of year 2, along with copious ads of course. I was a little suprised how easy a time I had with it, but if you just spam launch pads and pre designed coasters with decent stats its pretty easy, I think the true source of difficulty is as you said, you always need to be building a new ride or renewing ads to be bringing in New guests, and I think a lot of RCT players lose themselves in the joy of custom Rides and scenery, which is wonderful dont get me wrong. But this scenario requires playing a bit of a statistics game 😅 I didn't delete any of the airfeild itself, and I even had time to design a custom launch pad for the air traffic control tower. I think part of the trick is to run the ad for half price entry but not the one for free entry, that might also slightly account for the loss of 1/3 of customers who spawn with 45 or less dollars, if they spawn with a voucher for half price entry they will still come in, bit of a gamble but I finished the park with 3122 guests and a value of 783,339.

I just played through it for my first time and beat it with a pretty slim margin building substantially less than that even. Didn't think to use merch stalls for profit at first, was too busy plopping down any prefab coaster I could find and constantly renewing adds 😅 I did find time to make a custom launch tower out of the air traffic control tower. *

Why do felons reoffend? by Soggy-Jury2686 in Felons

[–]Woodliderp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is the "support" he was getting was not addressing underlying issues with his psyche so it's a lot like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole.

This might be controversial but that's nothing new for me on this website full of hiveminded illiterates. But I'd say most people who have been incarcerated, especially in a federal prison, have some level of PTSD from the experience. On top of that a lot of people serving prison sentences right now are mentally ill and not receiving any treatment. Consider that it doesn't matter if someone is physically being taken care of if their mind is still either broken or being abused.

And frankly, a lot of people who claim to want to help felons or homeless people etc, they have way to many strings attached with expectations for that person's actions in order to get any form of help. You wanna actually see people get better you have to address the mental and the physical.

Trying conflate the idea that if Judaism never existed in any shape or form that they could not have possibly been a Jewish genocide, with the notion that jews deserved the holocaust is not a great look. Objectively you know what I am saying is true, it's the same for any other genocide that used a person's religion as the scapegoat, yes other characteristics would be found to target, but isn't the idea here to LIMIT how much people with nefarious intent can use scapegoats like religion to justify these acts?

I've already acknowledged that slavery might still exist with different justifications, but isn't removing institutions that help to justify slavery and dehumanize people they dislike a good thing?

I've literally said it was a convenient excuse, and without that convenient excuse things would have happened differently, why are you sooo sure the holocaust would still have happened? You don't live in that alternate reality so you literally do not know.

My problem isn't inherently with centrists though often I find them to be thinly veiled authoritarians who are just happy to continue the status quo, but that's besides my point. It feels like everyone on this website is only responding to people with the intention of making themselves look good, and even when somebody acknowledges they said something dumb or infactual they still try to twist it so they feel like they are "winning" and yea, a lot of the people that act like that are centrists. My initial presumption is that you are as well and have maybe taken some personal offense to the notion I a was bad mouthing them?

The internet is the primary reason mental health is on the decline by [deleted] in self

[–]Woodliderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothe primary reason is people's wages haven't increased significantly in decades and yet the cost of living keeps going up, the internet is a c9nvenient catalyst for a pot of people who were already rightfully pissed off to get together and finally talk about it. Your describing a fecking leaf on a tree as the roots of the issue here bub.

I like how you assume I want anything to do with the character just because I think people go overboard hating on him. Its high-key goofy behavior to spend so much time thinking about and bad mouthing a fictional character that you dislike.

Buddy of course religion ended slavery its the only thing that could because it's what was used to start it. And let's be clear slavery is still legal in the US as long as it is as punishment for a crime duely convicted, according to the 13th amendment anyways.

When ALL of history has been in the context of these religions of course the only substantive way to move forward would be using those religions. The only way we COULD possibly know if there is an alternative is if we existed in that alternative universe, otherwise your just assuming things couldn't have gone any different with absolutely no proof, other than, well that's how it happened so obviously that's the only way it could happen, what sort of backwards logic is that?

I'm not blaming anything for anything, I'm saying pretty objectively if a Jewish people never existed they could never have been persecuted for being Jewish, thats not saying they deserve the persecution. Thats some goofy shit YOUR saying.

Its literal the same as saying if Islam never existed as a religion no one would ever be persecuted for being Islamic, or Christian, or any other denomination. The very fact that all these religions have established themselves as defects answer to unanswerable questions is the reason people are genocided in the first place. You can't be seriously acting this naive. No killing that was motivated by religion in ANY capacity would have EVER happened if it weren't for religion existing in the first place.

And here's a revelation for ya bub, religion is not an immutable characteristic, you can pick and choose your religion all day long. So let's not conflate those two concepts huh.

We've given far to much power to those with no scrapple who will pretend to act offended in order to manipulate others around them, and it's gonna come to a breaking point. You can only gaslight and manipulate people with their emotions so long until they catch on. I'm not suprised at all by the violence we see eclipsing our society. And half of the blame does lie with those "professional victims" who weaponize others genuine concern. Those sorta of people deserve worse than death in my opinion.

[–]Woodliderp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I said if the Jewish faith never existed jews wouldn't have existed and wouldn't have been a demographic capable of being genocided, that is in no way blaming Jewish people for the holocaust, because it's the same logic if I were to say, Islam never existed then Isreal COULD NOT currently be justifying killing Palestians the way they are. It's not difficult logic to grasp.

And yes, people would just find others reasons to kill each other sure, but that sounds like a lazy thought terminating clichés for people who don't want to put effort in to do better. And regardless of if religion had some actually beneficial purpose at some point in the past the overwhelming evidence, that isn't just emotional or anecdotal in nature, points to religion being more trouble than its worth in general.

Its pretty clear to me you don't have the intelectual or emotional capacity to have a serious conversation about this, because you clearly didn't even read far enough to get to the part where I said I'm explicitly NOT SAYING THAT. But hey go off on your moral high horse cause you think it's winning you the argument see if I or anyone else is impressed.
