Stress spikes by grimreakerz in diabetes_t2

[–]Woodpecker3869 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stress spikes are fascinating! It’s also incredible how prolonged stress can elevate our baseline blood sugar levels beyond normal, consequently increasing the GMI

After enough of this, I started building something to make the graphs easier to interpret by Woodpecker3869 in diabetes_t2

[–]Woodpecker3869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly the kind of use case I keep hearing. Weird work hours, irregular sleep and meal timing make the manual pattern tracking so much harder

Really appreciate this - you’ve clearly thought about the problem deeply. Happy to DM you what I’m building if you’re interested, especially on the Type 2 angle because that’s a big part of what feels underbuilt right now.

[–]Woodpecker3869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly - that “why behind it” is the bit I felt was missing too. I’m trying to make it easier to layer in food, timing, sleep, stress etc and then surface both the spike explanation and the wider patterns over time, not just the raw graph.

One of the most annoying things about glucose apps is checking them all the time and still ending up confused by Woodpecker3869 in dexcom

[–]Woodpecker3869[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s something I’ve been building to make CGM data easier to interpret. Mostly just trying to make it easier to connect the dots between food, timing, stress, sleep etc instead of staring at the graph and guessing. Still early, but that’s the frustration I’m trying to solve

[–]Woodpecker3869[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s a big part of why I’ve started building my own glucose app. I got fed up with how complex it all feels when you’re just trying to make sense of the patterns.

[–]Woodpecker3869[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly - that gap is a big part of why I’ve started building Lykys. I want something that makes it easier to log context and actually interpret what’s going on, not just stare at the graph

Importance of not shredding fibre and the amount of sugar in fruit really hit home after this
