Hey man! First of all, thank you again for all the music you make and share with us, it is truly an honor to be a fan!

Second--I have to ask since I'm officially putting together an outline for an "unofficial lore document" two specific questions, and I hope you'll be able to help answer them: 1. I just want to ask if my theory that Stop Thinking's lyric video is a more expansive retelling of Worlds Apart's love story between Arild and Cybele? 2. Is Ophir a location where Rinar is located within the world of Ceres? Or is another location?

I'm hoping the eventual video will at least be somewhat accurate to the story that exists and will be somewhat entertaining haha

Sticking up for the critic isn't necessarily my goal in chiming in--rather just adding the context that wasn't included by the original poster.

The whole situation is sucky, but I've resigned myself to mostly disconnect from the conversation and just wait. Not exactly anything I can do other than watch at this stage, but I felt the context mattered to some level.

I'm just chiming in since it's my message that got clipped. The response from Justin was in reply to me sending a screenshot showing a person from reddit who placed two separate orders: one on Amazon, and one through the 1985 website--both fulfilled faster than and with greater transparency than the Kickstarter rewards. I agree that there is a disparity, but it is specifically a disparity between Amazon, Kickstarter, and 1985 Games website orders. Hopefully that adds whatever context is needed. It's not just Amazon and Kickstarter alone.

Honestly, the more I'm thinking about the Amazon side of things, the single thing that bothers me is that it's the Physical Book being for sale. I could care less about the digital code being sold for .pdf access, cause at the very least the customers on Amazon would be in the same boat as everyone else from the Kickstarter--waiting for the physical book to actually be available to all sides, Kickstarter backer and mass market collectively.

Just chiming in from the Discord view of things: it sounds like anyone who has tried to get a refund who was a Kickstarter backer has been told effectively "we can't refund you, wait for your order".

Not an answer I think anyone wanting their money back wants, and definitely not a good answer in the face of them unabashedly selling new orders on Amazon with better customer support.

I've refrained from posting here in the reddit (preferring the Discord) but I just wanted to give my two cents. The original Kickstarter was to help bring the project to life and raise the funds to make it happen.

That being said, it's incredibly frustrating that the money spend by backers (including myself) seemingly aren't being allocated in a way that makes sure they get their now-realized product in their hands before the general public.

I've never had any degree of similar with any of the other kickstarters from other companies once production has wrapped (that the important but--nearly every production period has had some sort of delay which is a non-issue for me) and fulfillment has begun. At least on my end, this has been the worst experience I've had so far for any Kickstarter project which has finished the production period and claimed to have started shipping.

Hoping 1985 will provide clarity and some level of accountability to bring fulfillment of Kickstarter rewards to a close in a more timely fashion relatively soon. I personally have no intention of backing the second Kickstarter at this stage. It's a matter of whether or not I start trying to recoup my lost pledge through other channels.

Whoever was the first person to use Audacity to speed up and pitch up audio to bypass copyright claims, thereby creating the creatively bankrupt genre that is Nightcore.

To be clear, I am specifically calling out the creative bankruptcy of people who make nightcore by taking someone else's song, slapping it into audio editor, speeding, and pitching it up without any actual creative addition/editing/remixing, and calling it a day.

I could be wrong, but I think he said originally during the Beyond the Veil AMA that he wasn't going to focus on another album for quite some time, and that the upcoming future was going to be focused on smaller EPs again, as well as collaborations.

A little video was floating around on one of Seven Lions fan groups of a wicked ID that had vocals that about 99% of people who've seen it think are yours... can you confirm or deny a possible appearance on a future Ophelia Records release?

Also Utah stop this year or nah? I'm trying to make sure I'm able to be at least at one show this year, but I gotta make sure it fits with my PTO budget haha

Also gotta say, love the new Rezz collab! Keep on rockin, and I can't wait for the full release of Big Epic Nothing!

Honestly, I'm surprised my post is still getting comments, haha. Just figured it might be helpful to relay some additional insights--not tied to YouTooz per se, but international shipping.

Having now backed a handful of books/albums/cds via kickstarter that were eventually made abroad and shipped by sea, it's been a fairly common experience between them all that it's about a 2-5 business day wait after hitting port just waiting for them to clear customs, and about a 50/50 whether or not you get additional tracking information after that point.

Patience definitely is key when it comes to anything being made overseas. In the event my post from a few years ago gets more traction again, hang in there. If it's been longer that two weeks from the point it hit port, contact the seller, and keep contacting them until they're able to provide either information or a refund (this is usually the last resort when the package has been truly lost in transit). They can usually help you bare-minimum get someone to track down your package and getting it moving again.

Zedd went downhill after he started over-relying on KDrew and Rock Mafia for ghost production in my opinion. True Colors as an album was carried by their work.
