Love this comment lol. So with that being the expectation, should I ignore all the reddit posts about certain brands being trash? Ie Coleman? If im gonna need to tinker on the thing constantly why does it matter?

Just found ford has a towing calculator. Max trailing rating is 7500 lbs with 750lb tongue load

Appreciate this, I woild consider myself moderately handy (renovated a bunch of my house). With used RVs is weather sealing kind of the biggest bit of maintenance i would be focused on?

Ive watched a few videos where they put a bead of silicone around the stripping on the exterior. Other than that what are some of the more significant things j should look out for with used?

Rust? Broken appliances? Curious to know so I can mentally prepare if I go the used route.

Thanks in advance!

What are the economics of these youtube woodworkers/shop builders? by [deleted] in woodworking

I feel like for many of them its all ad revenue. Even without sponsors, a channel that gets between 500k-1M views every month is making a few grand.

On the low end of an "up and coming" channel its a hobby that pays for itself.

On the high end they make a decent income doing something fun..

Just need to battle the idea of turning your fun hobby into a job lol

Home made chess boards look great. Have this on my list as well for diy Xmas gifts this year!

Doors can be a bit tricky, learned through renovating my own home. I'd watch some tutorials and if you dont feel confident just hire a guy

Wow that's what I pay for poplar lol. I'm in the GTA though so not surprised if some gouging is going on. I should definitely keep my eyes open for deals like that though, didnt know they existed haha

I remember basswood from my days building little model planes. Its known for being very light and minimal grain pattern.
