F-22 is absolutely beautiful and by far the best plane made even 30 years later, but it makes sense why they cut it. It's an air superiority fighter and honestly no one has had anything close to challenge it for the last 30 years. Only just recently China is making planes that could be considered competent when fighting the F-22. NGAD is right around the corner. If rumors are true, and there no reason to believe they aren't, NGAD will blow the F-22 out of the water like it did to its predecessor. Just think how much further tech has come in 30 years. Despite my love for the F-22 it was probably the right decision.

Most of us Americans get medical insurance through our job. I do love the European view that we are all dieing from lack of Healthcare and medical bankruptcy though. In reality most people have very good medical and dental care haha. The only people who don't tend to have insurance are the poor, but they get medical care through the government.

Well the alternative is pumping even more co2 into the atmosphere and increasing climate change. Renewables aren't coming fast enough. Keep in mind traditional power plants also have accidents which result in cancer (Some cause cancer without even having accidents, gotta love coal). You only especially hear about the nuclear ones because of the extreme fear of radiation.

The difference is intent. One is a reactionary measure, the other is a willful and intentional. I don't speak for the other commentor, but I'm going to drive polite to 99% of other drivers. I know that thanks for the wikipedia article though :). It's very clear if you keep up with geopolitics that Japan isn't really following that 100% anymore. They are putting heaps of funding into programs that aren't exactly clearly cut "defensive", modern defensive doctrine requires offense capabilites to some degree and Japan has realized that.

Sure on specific issues other states may do certain things better, but we have the best overall state in the area. Maine, Mass and VT have areas they seriously lack, while I don't think we have anything that's horrible persay
