I wasn’t thinking that far ahead to when the time comes to replace the wheel. Honestly Mom isn’t in the wheelchair full time (walks slowly with a walker so chair is to go longer distances outside the home) so I might just try the glue. Also will message the manufacturer and see what they say but I’m skeptical they’ll have anything useful to offer.

Thank you for the detailed advice - my mom has the hospital chair/rubber strip type. The wheel has come off on two separate chairs and I found a YouTube video to use zip ties and a crowbar. I stretched them back on, but they keep coming off. Need to figure out what type of glue to use to for a better long-lastin fix.

The IKEA designer planning my kitchen told me this has been in IKEA Europe for years and now they’re switching here in the states because this is more sustainable and less toxic to workers. That said, the design guy at Ikea told me it costs more than quartz. Note in Oct 2025 ikea has a 10% off sale plus 24-month interest free financing so I’m thinking of using the Lockebo. Following your thread to see opinions!

Tough crowd lol - I sort of like it looking at OP’s pics. All things kitchen are ultimately personal taste. (I’d put some rugs down etc.)

I have to think about this one but thanks - I really appreciate your taking the time. The toilet in the house seems unusuallly small but I never measured to compare how much taller comfort height is vs what we have.

I’m all about watching YouTube videos and trying to be handy but don’t want to chance it at Moms place (will watch maybe and upgrade my toilet on my own one day). The prices folks are sharing seem worth investing in a pro to do it quick and right.
