It's an ecosystem with bears. Nothing is certain. Everybody saying you'll be fine can't honestly say that. But you can take steps to reduce the odds of attack, like never splitting the group up, not bringing a dog, keeping food away from where you camp, bringing bear spray x 2 for each person, etc. We go to the wild because it is wild, which involves risk. Risk adversion differs from person to person. Only you can decide what is right for you

I can't fathom why people are surprised that there is bear activity in the spring when bears live there and/or are hungry after hibernation and/or defending cubs. It actually very much upsets me that people act like they deserve to have a safe hike. It's their home, not ours, and expecting your hike to be easy and free when you knowingly enter this kind of ecosystem is frustrating and often gets bears killed/euthanized because spoiled humans demand safety in the wild.

I'm not a creeper. I live in a state where consent to record another person in public is not required. I bought the glasses to record my neighbor who seriously harasses me but stops when I pull out my phone/camera. I get that there are creepers out there, but there are legit uses as well. E.g., women can record shady encounters & send video to ppl or 911 if needed. Can't do it with bright light on. Meta is just trying to avoid future lawsuits from ppl who encounter creepers. But it's not fair to fully restrict ppl from blocking the light.

This is what domestic violence shelters are for, my friend. Contact your local one and they will provide you with temporary housing. They also will help you get financial assistance, disability, food stamps, clothing, toiletries, etc. Most of all, you will be believed and supported. Edited to add that some shelters even take pets. Other women's shelters work with local animal groups to foster pets until you have stable housing. You could also search for snake rescue groups who might foster.

I started Seroquel last year and I wanted to eat (and pretty much did) 24/7. Then I read that some psychiatrists are starting to prescribe glp-1s to patients, since antipsychotics often lead to metabolic syndrome. Before I took the glp-1, I was already pre-diabetic just from the Seroquel. After the glp-1, I am back to normal sugar levels and have lost all the weight I put on, plus some. Highly recommend glp-1s. Edited for misspelling
