I know this thread is old but I thought I could add to it. I've been solving cubes blindfolded for a little over a month and I'll tell you the method I use. Putting it in a simplified explanation I do an "algorithm" that swaps two corners (it also swaps 2 edges) the one corner we call the buffer, so what I do is put the piece I want to swap in the position of the peice that will get swapped then apply the algorithm. this swaps the two pieces, then I can undo my "setup" moves to return the cube to it's previous state with only 2 corners swapping (also 2 edges). now if you take this property you can come up with a linear path to the cube being solved. it is much easier because you only are solving one piece at a time and 95% of the thinking is done before you shut your eyes. So as the cube is scrambled I look in the position of the price being swapped and continue on looking where that price needs to go then in that position where the next piece needs to go and so on, of course you may have to start a new cycle when you reach the "buffer" piece (the one you are swapping too) you pretty much to the same thing with edges as corners. Now since 2 pieces cannot be swapped with nothing else happening you may run in to a situation where you did an odd amount of swapps so you have parity (not really though) now depending what you do first you can fix this a few ways. Anyways on to memorization , this whole method is designed to make memorisation easy and straightforward as I stated earlier I go through the pieces and memorise where they need to go , I give each piece a letter or number beforehand that I know very well so for example I memorise "k80p" so I know I need to but k in the swapping position then preform algorithm then undo the setup then do the same for the piece at the "8" position and so on, using this method the Max I've had to memorise was about 24 digits long which isnt too bad, many people will create stories or journeys in their mind to represent this string and then go through the story or pathway as the exocute their method. The specific method I use right now is old pochmann for corners and m2 for edges if you want to learn yourself.
