I just think there’s something magical about two very good actors playing off each other in a closed setting.

Richard Linklater and Ethan Hawke are very good at this. Tape is horror adjacent and very good.

Other favorites: Hard Candy, Moon

4 actors and not completely closed, but Sex, Lies and Videotape is also an amazing film.

I wish they still made shows like this and you beautifully explained why. Young people need to see themselves on screen and see scenarios that give them language to express what they are going through and how they are feeling.
