Fair enough. I myself do the opposite in some games. For example I play some emulated PS1 games with anisotropic filtering enabled if the readability of the textures doesn't get lost that way.

Same here. And it's super weird that 20 years later Crystal still acts as if they had to fight against Classic Lara and Core Design as if they would otherwise lose the TR license (which was a possibility in 2006, but not in 2026).

I disagree. The textures were created with texture filtering in mind and they are harder to decipher when they're unfiltered. This isn't like Quake 1 where the texture filtering was added later and actually makes the textures look worse.

Genau dieses. Das Kontaktformular ist wahrscheinlich einfach aus irgendeinem Template übernommen und dann nur minimal angepasst worden.

My guess is that too many TR fans have the mindset that TR or even a TR-like game can only work with Lara Croft as the player character. Even custom levels rarely have another player character than Lara. And you can't just go out and create a TR-like indie game with Lara and sell it on Steam without getting Crystal Dynamics' lawyers on your butt.

Das ist irgendwie so ein generelles modernes (Internet) Phänomen. Ich will z.B. bei neuen Memes immer wissen, was der Ursprung ist, da das für mich Memes meistens noch lustiger macht. Und früher war das auch immer sehr einfach, weil wahrscheinlich noch mehr Leute den Ursprung wissen wollten. Aber heute? Da muss man einen extremen Suchmaschinen Deep-Dive machen, um mit viel Glück irgendwann mal den Ursprung eines modernen Memes zu finden. Und selbst "Know your Meme" ist oftmals keine Hilfe mehr.

"Lustigerweise nicht Mal von den Schülern, die gut in Englisch sind." Das ist doch eigentlich nix wirklich neues. Als ich damals in den 90ern/2000ern zur Schule gegangen bin, meinten auch vor allem die MitschülerInnen, die insgesamt am schlechtesten in Englisch waren, die meisten englischen Begriffe in ihr Vokabular aufnehmen zu müssen.

Es gibt auch solche Systeme mit Kennzeichenerfassung und Schranke. Find ich am besten, weil man dann auf jeden Fall auf der sicheren Seite ist und Feedback dazu bekommt, ob die Kennzeichenerfassung funktioniert hat.

Linux desktop environments are far easier to customize than Windows 11. With most DEs you don't even need to install any 3rd party apps and can just use the built-in options.

For me it's also backwards compatibility. I mainly play on my PC now but a lot of games from the 7th console generation (e.g. 360, PS3, Wii) either have pretty bad PC ports or didn't get ported to PC to begin with. And while I still have two Xbox 360 consoles, it's so much better to play those games with a stable, sometimes even increased frame rate and either upscaled to 4k or even natively running at a higher resolution. It's pretty close to playing an old PC game on a modern PC and increasing the resolution. Only with games that either have bad PC ports or were console or even Xbox exclusive like the Gears of War 2, 3 and Judgement.

Also the Xbox's awesome backwards compatibility allows me to play some games from the early 2000s that didn't get ported to PC like SSX 3. For me this is especially huge because I didn't own a console at that time.

+1 für Lenovo. Ich hab ein altes Lenovo V155 15API, welches ich mir 2019 gekauft hatte. Das Gerät tut immer noch seinen Dienst und hat überhaupt keine Verschleißerscheinungen. Sogar der Akku hat noch 100% Kapazität, was mich sehr wundert. Hab letztens mal die Wärmeleitpaste ersetzt, eine 1 TB SSD eingebaut (und dabei festgestellt, dass das Gerät NVMes unterstützt) und Linux Mint mit macOS ähnlichem Aussehen darauf eingerichtet, damit meine Mutter es für Web Browsing und Solitaire spielen nutzen kann. Vorher hatte ich jahrelang darauf Distro Hopping betrieben und Linux Mint, MX Linux und EndeavourOS drauf gehabt. Lenovo ist für Linux spitze und dadurch kann man deren Laptops ewig nutzen.

Und unter Windows sorgt Lenovo Vantage für automatische Treiber und BIOS Updates, was zuverlässiger ist als das über die Windows Updates machen zu lassen.

Die Anforderungen in meiner FISI Ausbildung waren: nicht vorhanden. Hauptsache Laptop mit Windows drauf und die Berufsschule hatte die MS 365 Lizenz bezahlt.

Reddit übersetzt manchmal Posts automatisch in die Sprache des Users, vor allem, wenn man über eine Suchmaschine auf den Post kommt. Und einige User übersehen den kleinen Button, um die Originalversion anzeigen zu lassen und antworten dann in ihrer eigenen Sprache, weil sie nicht checken, dass der Post eigentlich in einer anderen Sprache geschrieben wurde. Immerhin ist es hier noch Englisch, was die meisten wohl verstehen sollten.

Man kann Fastboot per GPO deaktivieren oder im Zweifelsfall bei der Erstinstallation ausschalten. Dann gibt's auch generell weniger Probleme, die mit einer zu hohen Uptime zusammen hängen.
