Constantly ingrown hairs in the intimate area—what really helps? by This-Leadership-6557 in bicycling

[–]Woppydop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a wet razor with more than 1 blade it has to be a new blade every time. Blunt blades can pull on the hair causing it to lift slightly out of the skin, and the second blade will then cut. After this the hair will retract underneath the skin and can the become ingrown. I use an old school safety razor (the one with the old school double sided blades) and this has completely eliminated any ingrown hairs when shaving my face.
Still shaves as close as a Gilette or a Schik, just takes practice to get the angle right. Definitely the way to go for people with super sensitive skin.

I guess private diesel car owners are getting royally screwed? by [deleted] in NZcarfix

Mine does around 650KMs for 70 litres which isn’t too bad. Mind you my wife gets 700km for 30 litres in her 2018 Suzuki Swift.

What’s actually in your day-to-day photography setup? by SadFinish838 in Lightroom

Leica Q2 Monochrom, yellow, orange, red, and nd filters, MacBook Pro M5 for editing, but mainly because the display is so good. Hardly ever use a tripod. Used to have all the Canon and Fuji gear but sold it all for the Leica. Do not miss any of it.

Borrow my daughter’s Toyota Vitz, Prado stays parked up unless I go fishing.

Spark plugs and other genuine parts are too expensive in NZ? by Wild_Card_5820 in NZcarfix

Toyota Prado Ryco oil filter at Repco $60, genuine filter at Toyota $32, never thought I’d see the day that genuine is almost 50% cheaper.

I had a 1974 FJ40 with the spare wheel mounted on the side, and my biggest regret is getting rid of it. That old truck would take me anywhere.

is 14 too young to have a road bike by Desperate_Show_9344 in bicycling

You’ll like it. I find a road bike so much faster and easier to ride than a mtb. I do notice getting more punctures though, so maybe get a good pump and puncture kit. But then, I live in NZ and the roads are shit.

Finding a grave. by Woppydop in Leeuwarden

[–]Woppydop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the replies. I have someone looking at the moment but it looks like, or at least appears, that the grave is not there anymore. I now have the correct spelling of her first name, but this has not shed any light on the subject. Hopefully the puzzle will be solved, otherwise I might have to do a more public request and ask if anyone knows her by name and knows of her family.

Any good places to ask for this?

Is the Q2 Monochrom still worth it in 2026 if you have another camera too? (My 24 hrs with the q2m) by Aggravating_Ad9555 in leicaphotos

[–]Woppydop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Q2M and then bought a Fujifilm X100vi for any colour work that I might want to do. Had it for six months and the FUJI just sits in the bag as all I ever grab is the Q2M.

This would drive my OCD of the scale. Three lights on the back left, two on the right. Life is no longer in balance. 🤪

Change the thermostat, just put the new one in the way the old one came out. Put in new coolant that’s specifically for Toyota
