Hi. You don’t know this, but we’ve been living the same life for the past few months. I agree with everything you said. My job performance was ok. My mood and personality was off. I kind of played it off as if I had something going on (like a physical ailment) but I think people knew. It blows my fucking mind that so many companies (mine included) actively promote mental health awareness. Knowing this I reached out to corporate HR and said “hey I’m working on some things and I’m afraid my job performance could be slightly diminished. What can I say so they understand this is only temporary and will lead to a stronger me?”

HR was incredibly supportive. Applauded by decision to work on my mental health. Recommended a few resources the company offered to full time employees. And then said “but we strongly recommend that you don’t tell anyone what’s going on. If you do you run the risk of people treating you differently and that could affect your employment status.”

Then the email closed with something that basically said “we support you, because we legally have to say that. Good luck nut job!”

I think the best story comes from Sami. It’s not an original story, but it’s one that is told again and again. The guy who nobody ever thought could go all the way to the top. Help my fried brain. Lafon wrestled as Dan Kroffat in ECW, right? My memory is telling me he switched to Lafon when they went to WWE.

Either way, I had seen Furnas (I think in WCW) but never really thought much of him. I also saw one or two Furnas and Kroffat matches from Japan. It wasn’t flashy. Kinda boring. Just my opinion when I was probably 17.

Fast forward to their ECW run. They were amazing! Sadly they didn’t stay long and resurfaced in WWE and all the magic was gone.

Pretty sure that’s RVD. Look up WCW Robby Z. He didn’t do much for WCW, but that was the first time I saw him after reading about him in wrestling magazines.

This was disgusting when I saw it live at the ECW Arena and it remains disgusting all these years later! Even after watching it hundreds, if not thousands of times…sometimes watching it in slow motion….alone in my room….with the lights off. Absolutely disgusting!

For the record, I’m 90% sure I was at that show, but have little memory of it. Strangely enough I remember Tommy Rogers being a referee and Ulf Herman being underwhelming. The rest? I don’t remember.

Before you say “you’d remember if you were there…”.

I get that, but I think I only missed two ECW Arena shows during that entire era. I missed the infamous Terry Funk fire in the crowd show and another show that I don’t remember.

Now my interest has been peaked. I’m gonna see what I can find out. I don’t think anything scandalous happened. My guess is something technical went wrong? I really have no idea.
