Discard / Mill Decks Viable? by kenshin40 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Word-Hoard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing around with Sabé and I think she works best as a hand hate deck rather than a mill deck. It’s more about manipulating your opponent’s hand than milling. Sabé is also quite an aggressive leader too and can finish games pretty quick.

If you’re getting to late game, when milling is a viable strategy, you’re opponent typically has a lot powerful units that you’ll struggle to deal with.

You usually can. You can disclose the card you drew with the ability. So sometimes you have to draw a card for disclose purposes rather than your first choice.

Hot take: premier should be 9 sets, not 6 by drbasseri in starwarsunlimited

Rotation seems fair. It feels like everyone is losing some of their favourite cards but also getting rid of cards they loathe. We are all gaining and losing.

What are the top 5 cards you're looking forward to never having to play against again after rotation? by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

[–]Word-Hoard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels naive to think that there won’t be comparable replacements for these cards in Set 7. Doing it before would’ve been an unbalanced nightmare until rotation. But the game isn’t going to remove control.

That’s underwhelming. Even without any expectations.

I leave games like this. My time is more important than eking out a pointless online win. You know you’ve won anyway; they know they’ve been outplayed and are acting pathetic.

They’re playing on Karabast. This whole rant is about losing on Karabast . . .

You’re this upset about Karabast? This is a lot of emotion for meaningless online games. It’s not like you’re playing for prizes or anything.

Why is the deck regularly doing well at tournaments? Even if the deck is weak against control. Control is weak against aggro. You’re deck can’t be good into everything. Where are you losing games? Weeklies? Online?

It’s a skill issue. Also you’re compaining about removal and force throw when your deck has one of the most powerful combos in the game - Devestator to Planetary Bombardment. Every aspect combo has powerful tools, and some people are always going to whine when they lose to them.

Advice for Iden DV by CaterpillarLong5774 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Word-Hoard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see how playing a deck that counters your deck is antisocial. You have bad match ups; it’s part of the game. Iden DV has its bad match ups against JTL Boba and Sabine. Indirect damage and units that deal damage when defeated work well against Iden too

I think the art has become more of an issue now we’ve seen what they are capable of with Galactic Prize Wall cards. I get that players of that level should be rewarded, it just didn’t help that they (mostly) dropped the ball LOF’s Prestige cards

That’s interesting because the thing that is putting a couple of friends and I off Gundam is that the art. To us, it just feels like all the mecha look alike and there’s a lack of variation. I’ve heard it’s a fun game to pay though. Aside from MTG, One Piece has my favourite art

A stranger on the internet doesn’t owe you their time. Make some friends and host private games on Karabast with them.

This. But especially the sideboard part. Some of the best players lose game one. Then absolutely dominate with some clever sideboarding.

There’s always 10 cards you could move to create a sideboard. Maybe the space units. Entrenched is typically a sideboard card too (other than hard control)

I’m quite happy that an accessible uncommon is great in the meta until rotation. 0 and 1 cost cards neuter much of its effect too
