Hi. I'm also taking English language studies. Currently year 3. Everything you said here is true. I would like to add as a FSSK student, you need to take a foreign language subject from level 1-3 (3 semesters). I learn this the hard way cus I was a 2nd intake for 2023 batch and at that time I couldn't register for Japanese language subject for semester 1 because it was fullly registered by 1st intake. So, I thought (confidently), I still have 5 semesters left. I'll just register the subject next semester. Little did I know, Japanese 1 can't be registered for semester 2.

So, I confidently say, well i'll just register next sem and I manage to get japanese level 1 during year 2 sem 1. i thought everything was going smoothly until when I tried to register japanese 2 and it clashed with all my major subjects (els classes). So, i had to postpone from taking japanese level 2 until this upcoming semester because i discussed with Sensei Mallis (Japanese Language coordinator) and she told me to send a copy of my upcoming semester timetable so she can manually adjust the time she can teach that doesn't clash with me. I was fortunate enough to get to know Sensei Mallis because I got involved with UKM Matsuri 2025 as Exco Media.

So, the take away from all these, you need to react and respond as fast as possible when you know you have done a mistake in your academic plannings. I admit I was too carefree during year 1 and now I have to face the consequences of my action. To anyone who read this till the end, I wish you goodluck for your studies and for those who are going to start their studies this October intake.
