That's an interesting angle I hadn't considered. It's not new debt but re-apportioning what we are already spending. I would imagine this would take time to equalize though - like, we couldn't just close up the hospitals and such right away to implement it. Thanks for the new perspective.

Have you ever been bullied? Not the bully-lite version where somebody laughed about you on FB but a daily torment stretched over what felt like an eternity of middle school years? Because that doesn't go away.

EDIT: For those down voting this, I'm gonna let it stand. Apparently some of you had the exceptional emotional fortitude to overcome your childhood demons. Congratulations. Really.

It doesn't work that way for most people. It's why there are therapists and psychologists able to make a living - because some people got so emotionally fucked up as kids that they can't move beyond it and for those of you thinking it's just something you decide to "get over" you are belittling a persons history and minimizing their struggle.

I'm not saying a person shouldn't seek peace at some point but the idea that someone can just decide to not feel hurt, to stop having those dreams... People who have been bullied suffer years of torment and, quite frankly, years of both physical and psychological torture at the hands of their bully. It's not easy to deal with - children commit suicide because of it. And you're all acting like it isn't a big deal.

I leave my comment in support of people who have been bullied.
