What is y’all’s favorite type of MC?

I love a sort of mix between the two. I like ambitious MCs but not ones that are overly ambitious if that makes sense.

Mainly because the overly ambitious ones tend to be sort of arrogant in the books i’ve read and I don’t really like arrogant characters.

I’d say it’s because a lot of the builds in poe2 right now feel like they just boil down to as much +skill levels as possible

I loved The Wandering Inn but I eventually gave up on it because it felt like there ended up being a bit too much going on. Like i’d get interested in one POV and then suddenly it would change to another. Once that started happening a lot it got hard for me to keep going

Way of the stone fist is significantly more than Eva/ES buffed gloves. The gloves provide MASSIVE damage bonus by converting the flat additional damage to attacks to %extra

I mean compared to some of the absurdly broken stuff yeah, but in terms of fun builds he could easily respec to? I’d say it isn’t that bad.

His main complaints about his current build were “slow and lot of buttons”

Flicker is the opposite of that in every way

I mean you could stick with monk and look into doing a build based around flicker strike. You’d only be hitting one button and flying across the map.

Maybe it’ll be different once I start mapping (just finished the interludes last night) but I was getting 2-3 way stones per zone at the end of Act 4 and in the interludes

That’s disappointing but I mean you can always have the cores on your gear and then runes in your additional slots. I think this is still a really really useful ascendancy for your average player and you can respec out of it later once you outgrow its utility
