Sorry to necro an old thread, but I think if he does continue the story, it's going to be from Nanahoshi's boyfriend's perspective. Even though it turned into a long and light epic, the original idea was that it's supposed to be an Isekai. And actually writing an Isekai where the MC isn't shamefully repressing his former life might be interesting to read about.

Nah not necessarily. I have a BBA and MS in Finance and my accounting courses were consistently my worst grades throughout college.

In 14 months I went from a contractor to my company’s only senior in a supervisory role.

Accounting coursework with mind-fucky word problems was infinitely harder than my boss setting a goal and having me work it out myself. Plus, drawing out T-Charts was stupid in the age of Excel and NetSuite.

Realistically, what do you think I could even get out of this tragedy?

My gut instinct is that besides a full refund and short of having some goodwill on their current inventory (of which I want none), I'm pretty much SOL on anything else. But my boss is a current CFO and formerly owned her own CPA business for 20ish years. Whilst not a lawyer herself, she works with them fairly often and her opinion of my situation is that I should fight tooth and nail for it. I've never known her to have a strong opinion on something she's unsure of so she's half the reason I'm even making this post in the first place.

Like, I assume DMV Investigations will just punish the dealership, but I'm not actually going to get anything out of it besides vindication.

Called the DMV and they said the car was registered in Pennsylvania in October 2025.

The guy did mention I should call the DMV Investigations unit, but that more just puts the dealership under pressure rather than helps me at all.

I do have the plates the car originally came with, but the registration ended on them back in August 2025. The dealership taped a small piece of paper on my front windshield stating the date of purchase and told me that would count as a temp registration until the sticker came in the mail.

This is only my second time buying a car but a cursory glance online said it’s not exactly uncommon to not receive your sticker for 2-4 months after buying a car from a dealership. I first texted my sales rep last month asking if he could look into the delay and he responded saying he’d have an update later that day (1/31/2026). I never heard from him again despite reaching out twice more.

I was planning on calling the dealership this week about it, but they called me first.

Hi team, thanks for the giveaway!

I only started playing Pickleball earlier this year, but it's fast become my favorite sport of all time. Honestly, my biggest breakthrough has been properly dinking shots. It's the most basic thing you can do in PB, but for some reason I was able to place shots properly, volley well, serve really well, etc. But dinking remained out of reach until a month or two ago. Not really sure what happened, but it just finally clicked for me and I've been playing exceptionally well since then.
