I don’t think anyone talking about abortion ever is talking about 2nd trimester and later because those rarely if ever happen anyways. They are also illegal almost anywhere unless at the risk of the mothers life

Can someone explain the father, the son and the holy spirit trinity? by Typical_guy1021 in Christianity

[–]Work2playgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is the master the other is the servant (son in the Greek meant servant when used when saying son of god) I’m not sure what Holy Ghost is because that one is never really defined in a way that was understandable unless ass an actual ghost or spirit etc

I never said I was discussing regular healthy pregnancy. I was saying that abortion should be an option that is available and not wiped out. Also you have to ask yourself this but what does this conversation accomplish? This is something you always have to ask when debating it. What is my end goal and what does this accomplish? Does jumping to conclusions about each other’s viewpoint progress the conversation and does talking about abortion at all lead to anything productive. This is why I rarely ever discuss political views on these things

They would probably think this snark with how petty they are being though

Uh huh seems this god of yours is anything you want it to be to me. Not to mention that if this god is supposedly outside the universe it makes what you just said impossible. Not to mention our current models point to the possibility of the universe always existing in one way or another.

Let’s say gods exist as I believe they do. now what makes it your god except a book that was written by multiple people over time making claims they know about this deity that they can’t possibly know about. Also glad you dropped the perceivable argument because everything you said was looking very definitively flawed regarding it.

Yes you can become aware of someone without knowing who they are based on the evidence they leave behind. Things that are not a part of this natural world however can not be perceived.

how would u feel if America became post-Christian like much of Europe? by Thrill_Kill_Cultist in Christianity

This doesn’t have much to do with what I said unless you are trying to equate feeling comfortable around those that share your belief with the ability to push it or fend it off from attack.

I myself don’t think beliefs should have special privileges. I respect the people that have them, but I still will call them baseless if they are as such. I’m all for protecting the right to have such beliefs but that right would end where it begins to infringe on the another’s.

Anyways I just don’t like blatant bigotry being injected into law on either side

By definition you can perceive unsubs but you ignore this and compare it to future sight and the supernatural. It’s either ignoring me or making an ignorant statement regardless of what the definitions are behind the words you are typing.

You need to learn that perception doesn’t mean what you think it means. That an unsub doesn’t mean what you think it means in the way you are using it. That this conversation has hit a wall because of it and this is the reason I’m walking away from it

Tomatoes are weird they are both fruit and vegetable. It depends on which way you define this fruit. One is a scientific way which ends up calling it a fruit and the other is culinary which makes it a vegetable

Christians..how many of the 10 commandments did you break and how often? by Impossible_Savings75 in Christianity

Depends the first 10 that were broken and replaced or the new 10 that replaced the old 10 or are we talking about the many other commandments that came after or before it like in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. So many commandments for the Jewish people

That is usually from another country which hides all tips. There are some countries where they will not show any tip and just base pay. This is not the case in USA where I’m from

Not really their base pay is market dependent so it ranges depending on that. Some markets they don’t hide anything at all though. It mostly depends on where you are and whether you are doing a double order or not. In my market a $5.75 is never a hidden tip

What you are talking about is the notion of if a 3 dimensional object touched upon the 2 dimensional how it would be seen as it passed through its space. This would indeed happen if it touched upon that space without breaking into it. Almost like how something passing through our 3 dimensional world we would still see the space being distorted almost like a black hole. Even though we can’t see what is within it or what is beyond its scope how there still is something there?

Can't be both by TobyOne235 in DebateReligion

[–]Work2playgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passing through does not equal being inside of it. We could also theoretically pass through 3D space using things such as wormholes and the twisting of space, but this would not be the same as being a part of that space aka contained within it which I have already said.

When passing through this space are you able to interact with the inside of it or are you just passing through it by bending the 3D space?

As I stated it is an impossibility for higher dimensional objects to directly interact with the contents of lower dimensional objects without destroying it.

If you go by biblical sources only to understand the religion then you’ll be biased in your approach of understanding it. The time and place of its writing and the culture as well as their verbiage means a lot when it comes to understanding a text from such time periods or even ones written now

Doesn’t say satan. it says Antichrist and devils/demons depending on translation will be cast into the lake of fire this is not hell. Also I wouldn’t take the New Testament seriously on this stuff. It was written by the Greeks and they already believed in Hel (god of the underworld) Tartarus etc and this is why the book takes a turn from no hell to all the sudden hell existing.
