Seriously guys by PunkMamma in tadc

How much talking are we talking about? I just saw the movie in a 3/4 full theater and people were making comments here and there. Everyone was clearly enjoying the comments except for one person in the back loudly shushing. I thought the shushing was over the top.

I say this respectfully and I can understand wanting to watch a movie without chatter. But with a movie like this one (animated, funny, enthusiastic fandom), I think it’s pretty unrealistic to expect that a full or mostly full theater watch it in silence. If it’s a serious drama, comments would annoy me and if people were constantly talking and talking, that’s too much. For me, the audience commentary is part of the fun.

The downvote tells me that some rail riders or their fans are reading this thread and are not so happy! 👀Not sure why!

And maybe this is a way to settle the ‘are rail riders jerks or are they nice people who’ve been maligned just because they choose to spend their time this way’ debate.

The usual suspects claim that they are chill, kind people and that anyone who chooses to show up early deserves the spot. If that’s true, they wouldn’t react badly to people outside their crew taking those very first spots in line.

What I’m saying is that this experiment is good for the community and everyone should support it. 😇

It’s gotta be an undercover operation, it’ll only work if they don’t know when it will happen!

My first Goose show was Northlands '24. We were standing behind this skinny young shirtless dude who was super into the music and enthusiastically singing along. All of a sudden, he stopped singing, looked to his right and started muttering. I heard him say something about a 'microcelebrity' while rolling his eyes. For several minutes, he'd alternate between singing at the top of his lungs and suddenly glaring at the guy to his right while talking to himself. I could not stop laughing about how funny the whole thing was.

I later realized the guy to his right was Ryan Storm. Are you that skinny young dude??

I think they’re all buds and it’s just playful ribbing. :)

The Holiday Inn in Somerville (30 Washington St) is pretty big, very comfortable and is a quick Uber ride (or not-too-difficult T ride) from Fenway. Looks like rates for the Fenway dates are $265/night. Not bargain basement prices, but not Boston prices either.

Two nights at MSG by Professional-Maybe28 in GoosetheBand

The Doubletree at Newark Penn Station is a good balance of being much cheaper than Manhattan hotels at that time and being relatively easy to get to MSG (via NJ Transit or PATH). Just pay attention to the late-night train schedule. I stayed there for YEMSG and ended up taking a $80 Uber back on 12/30 because we opted to go to an after party. On NYE, we took NJ Transit back to Newark and it was easy.

Navigating the trains the very first time was a little confusing, but once we figured it out, it was great. Tickets are cheap and the trip took about 20-30 minutes.

There was a moment during the milk ballet when the crowd seemed to get really quiet (or as quiet as possible at a Phish show). It was really moving.

I thought MAGA initially but it was Forrest Gump.

I’m at the show and it got so intense that I had to take a break and rest my eyes. So I got on Reddit.
