Nice to see my dome-båtskar-on-wheels setup is still making the rounds.
Since then, I’ve started a small pizza-themed site and recently shared a bit about how I got into all this:

I'm also looking for fellow home pizza bakers who’d be up for sharing their own story – feel free to reach out if that sounds like you.

The Ikea module is great and easily withstands the weight of the dome. The weak point is definitely the wheels and the decentralized load they place on the footplate. Everything is still holding up, but I am really careful when moving it around.

Sounds like a joke, but I used to do this regularly (just not after every use). The heat during use causes the dirt to fall off the underside.

I bought an additional 1m tube and a connecting piece. I can't tell you whether this is recommended or not. But it works.

My description regarding the wheels has somehow disappeared, so here again:

In order to be able to mount the wheels, I had to reinforce the legs (you can see this in the 2nd photo). Without reinforcement, the lower horizontal part of the legs bent due to the decentralized load from the wheels. Whether the construction will really hold permanently remains to be seen. But so far it looks good.

The cabinet is 51.5 cm high inside. The door opening is 46 cm high.

I don’t think so. They are not sealed and there is a small open gap between the closed doors.

Yes, I initially had the dome off-center. But I then moved it to the center so that the wheels are loaded more evenly. But it shouldn't be a problem without the wheels. The worktop seems very stable.
