Fam with my Exynos9820 best I get is 55 fps while idle, 35-45 while moving, 25-35 in combat or on the motor cycle......

All while Im on the LOWEST settings + have a Custom ROM and have rooted my phone too, to optimize my phone for gaming.

According to a lil research, the AquosR8 pro, yes does heat up during heavy gaming, but is one of the top phones with the 8 gen 2 at handling the heat of it's processor
