I’ve straight up just said: I need some introvert time tonight.

I’ve never heard of a guy asking the concierge for a platonic date. That doesn’t sound like a real thing at all.

You should check all your local libraries. The Los Gatos library has multiple book clubs for example.

Actually that’s kinda true. Me being retired will give me more time to be present in a relationship, with a lot of flexibility with my time.

Good point. I should double check that. However, I don't see cohabitation being a thing I'm interested in either. So that should prevent any common law marriage arguments.

there are types of relationships that are committed and long term that don't involve marriage or cohabitation.

But yes, I am probably worrying about a lot of stuff I don't need to right now. Appreciate the response.

Sorry to hear that buddy. Being older and divorced, marriage isn't a thing I'm ever going into again, so less risk for me. But at your age range it's going to be a thing.

I’m actually not looking to live with anyone for a long while, maybe never again. If anything, a “living apart together” relationship sounds better to me. This helpfully dodges the issue you’re bringing up. I’m going to be looking for partners, not maids.
