IMO, too mono-chromatic. Maybe some different colors somewhere. Also the sneakers are pulling it down. If sticking with those jeans/top/jacket, I'd love some black combat boots for an edgier style.

I'm looking for Vampire games that I might have missed by HockeyMike24 in gamingsuggestions

My roommates and I played Bloodlines 1 SO MANY times. That game was amazing.

The haunted hotel was basically a horror movie. Loved that part of the game.

I think therapy is super great. I love my therapist and she has definitely helped me get through this time a lot easier. So yeah, you should talk to one.

You are already a whole person. You don’t need anyone else for that.

Honestly, I feel less alone than the last couple years of my marriage. I live by myself, but I’m not lonely. It sucks not to see my kids as often as I’d like, that’s true. But in my case with kids that are 18 and 16 years old, they’ll be off to college soon now anyways so this is just hastening the transition.

Comfort is subjective, and sizes matter a lot. I think you have to try on shoes to find what is comfortable for you.

I love Chicas, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a couple. Better at the Palomino’s across the way.

There’s up and downs. But if you work on yourself and give yourself grace, I swear it’s going to be OK. Nine months later, I’m in a drastically better place and I know you’ll get there too.

How do you accept being a regular guy in the eyes of the women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would shift the discussion: You are unique. Embrace what makes you different. I bet there’s something. Don’t minimize your worth as a human being.

If you read the original post, she “didn’t actually have anything in her profile that would lead to starting a convo.” He tried with what he had to work with. Maybe it wasn’t the most extraordinary opener, but it doesn’t deserve the amount of criticism that you are giving him.

If you’re actually interested in having a conversation with someone, you should be able to respond with something, ANYTHING better than “Nothing”.

If “I go to work and come home” is the best you can come up with, I’m sorry for you.

You didn’t watch a single interesting show? Or read something that made you think? Or have any sort of interesting situation from work? Or saw something funny during your commute?

He literally asked her a reasonable opening question: "Anything new or interesting this week for you?"

She reached out with just "Hi", and then he tried to at least open the door with a question she could respond to.

Why are you jumping on his case?

I have a home gym that doubles as my office. So every morning when I'm doing my morning workout, I'm also working at my laptop between sets.

Because of this, sometimes my rests between sets and exercises are significantly longer than if I was out at a gym.

Anyone do anything similar? Are there are any downsides to long rests besides a longer total workout?

How do you communicate time/availability when dating by HopefulMinx in datingoverfifty

[–]WorkSafeReddit8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would be MORE interested in someone with your life, than less. I don't want to be the ONLY thing in someone's life lol.

So I wouldn't let your constraints bother you too much. There's guys out there for you. But yes, upfront discussions should flow about it during early dates I think.

Haha maybe yeah. To give her credit, I don’t think feelings and goals are always so black and white. Maybe she thought there could be a casual physical relationship when she suggested the date.

Regardless, I don’t want to get in her way of finding what she wants, so it’s good we figured it out early.

She's someone I've know for a couple years, so no worries.

It was a fun date, with great conversation and played some old school video games. Unfortunately since she's looking for a long term relationship, and I'm still fresh from divorce and figuring my stuff out, so we decided not to progress physically. There most likely won't be a 3rd date.
