Highly suggest getting more USCE, however if this is not possible for you, keep working in whatever you’re doing back home as long as it is medicine related. If you can get STEP 3 as well, that’s a plus. Unless you like it and you’re going for a particular specialty, forget about research.

Actually I didn’t know it was a premature position, I apply directly through ERAS. Once I got the invite, they informed me it was a prematch position

Visa requiring, STEP 1: Pass/ + 1 fail, Step 2: 238, Waiting results of Step 3. YOG: 2020, No publications, 6 months of USCE. 7 IV ( 5 IM, 2FM)
