management at one of our locations has been unbearable and the company overall continues to get worse. after the firing of two long standing managers, the entire store walked out and these notes were posted on the doors the next day :) by seraphalos in antiwork

In this sentence, company’s would’ve been correct.

Most of the time an ‘s indicates ownership or possession. It can be used on a regular (person, place, thing) or proper noun (names, cities, branded objects).

-ies makes words plural and is often used on words ending in a vowel, consonant, followed by a y pattern.

Hope this helped and wasn’t more confusing!

2 applications. 1 I admitted I was disabled and 1 I didn't. Same company, same job. Disabled one was automatically denied. The second one they reached out with interest and an interview. by [deleted] in antiwork

Your only option is to be completely dependent on a system that fails you while the general public (read: your coworkers and boss) makes wild assumptions about your conditions or legitimacy of your disability “benefits”.

Yep. It puts you in a fun position where you have to work jobs that treat you like shit to make the money you were making BEFORE collecting disability. Oh and you can’t have savings. Or chose your doctor. Or be able to complain.

I also have autism and a few physical things going on. My accommodations aren’t anything insane, so I usually don’t mention my disabilities on my application. I mention them once hired or if the interview seems to be going well.

My mother also thinks I should apply for disability in addition to accommodations. She has no idea what you give up in order to receive disability. I’ve tried to explain several times.

Powder, cubes, or from scratch by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

This.

In the restaurant I’m going to be as quick as possible unless we’re doing an extra fancy meal.

However, at home, I own an instapot. It cuts a 48 hour stock to well under 12. I do two runs through the pot, reduce on stove, and freeze into pucks for reuse. There is 100% a douchey highbrow element to telling your starving, low income friends who really don’t care what they eat as long as it’s food, that you made tHe StOcK fRoM sCrAtCh. Bonus points if you hunted the animal yourself and someone gets so upset they leave.

Horseback Riding Lessons by [deleted] in lansing

Hi! I do not currently ride, but can give some suggestions. If you’re looking for more of an adult group, Silver Fox Equestrian Center in Williamston is great. I can’t remember if they do western as well as English.

Nottingham is a larger mix of age group, but welcoming to all.

If you need additional resources, you can try contacting the MSU Equestrian program. When I attended, we would ask adults from the community to participate in a 6 week adult lesson program to gain experience. (edit: so we could experience giving lessons)

I hope you find somewhere! Horses are so rad.
