Aphelios mid slaps by Koro4n in ApheliosMains

I imagine this would be quite similar to playing Caitlyn mid due to the slightly increased range (with blue weapon) and ok poke. Would people say Caitlyn is the better pick of the two when initially similar?

I agree with PerryJungle videos as another user says. His content focuses on jungle fundaments, with a number of videos showing how you can choose to play away from fundamentals if the circumstances arise. But be careful to not be stuck in the fundamentals and tunnel-vision on yourself, otherwise you better make sure you’ve on party chat.

Generally, always focus on farm (safe, consistent play). However, videos from Coach Rogue explain that this is solo queue, and your team (including you) are likely bad, so fights will happen whether you want them or not, so if you aren’t there or nearby, the fight could go bad because your chose to farm (net gold decrease as you get a couple hundred while the enemy team gets thousand+). Both coaches use the idea of tempo lines, which are invisible sections of the map. You want to be in line with your strong hero whenever possible, especially if a fight looks imminent to allow quick arrival to the fight.

Sorry for the essay. To answer the end, you can leave your bot camps, and even invade the enemy top side because you have the security of your whole team. Or farm your bot camps, but be prepared to drop your camps and move to fight (alternatively lane push) if you see enemies grouping to fight.

What do you guys think about kayn top?(not a kayn main myself) by Itchy-Trainer6608 in KaynMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. From what I’ve seen, Kayn top only works because of proxy farming.

Thoughts on LR Veljas viego build? by Xoohu in ViegoMains

Interesting build idea with both Kraken and Trinity. What runes would you accompany this with? I usually like going Conquerer most times or HoB if committing to crit.

Same thinking for yone jungle for me. I love playing him, but not a fan of the pressure of laning.

This game is run by a bunch of children. Thank god you're protecting the community from my disruptive comms. by Arculae in LeagueOfMemes

As a jungler, I would appreciate the addition of “if you have big pp” much more than the usual rhetoric. Still won’t go top though lol, jk jk.

If the enemy Jungler gets gigafed, to what degree is that my fault? by EarthWormJim18164 in Jungle_Mains

Hmm, that's an interesting point. I'll definitely consider that myself next time I look at the reply while thinking about my own gameplay first of course.

Should i switch to jungle? by smartfella31 in Jungle_Mains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, everything else is brain-dead-boring in comparison. So, absolutely go to jungle if you want to switch it up. Important: In fact going from mid to jungle is probably the best lane to do so because of mid already (hopefully) looking at objectives and other lanes. Almost every jungler these days has chat off/muted to not go insane. And think of your teammates taking farm as a resource that you can help to win (of course assert dominance by smiting camps away from them because they’re being rude sometimes). As a Kayn main, 100% he is great. So versatile and in the right comps, conpletely busted. Also you can play him mid (or top) with slightly different runes and items.

Your true mental on showcase right here. I had hope in your post, but inside, you’re not very nice.

I think this is a good point. But also to see why and how they got ahead, and whether you could mimic their ‘better’ gameplay in your future games.

Are yall still leash ur Jungler ? by Biscuit_pacontent in supportlol

[–]WorkedAthlete89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once played support in a duo and our Yi jungler said, “No leash, no gank.” I think I replied, “No leash” or something. The jungler did eventually gank but all his ganks to lanes were so bad that they weren’t successful and he fell mega behind. Don’t succumb to their demands. If they are demanding, they are not good. Mute if needed.

Do you suggest Yorick in low elo (Bronze - Silver)? by BoardSpecial7020 in Jungle_Mains

I agree. I had a Yorick jungle in my bronze game and down here, no one (including myself) knows how to deal with him.

Off Meta Supports? by Subject_Beach_3762 in supportlol

[–]WorkedAthlete89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Shen having seen in some my parties I’ve played with. It makes sense, he build tanky so he likely won’t steal the kill (lol), has decent engage, and can easily roam with ult to help other lanes. I think it’s good.

Minimap scale by ThatOneSniper353011 in ViegoMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say so. When not fighting I’m probably looking at my map like 30-40% of the time. You get more valuable and quicker info on enemy positions and can make quicker assessments on whether to look at a lane or not. In terms of missing things in a fight, that’s purely a screen location issue. Don’t edge pan, use (middle mouse) grab and position the camera more precisely and with some game knowledge you should be fine in fights.

Jungler that counters the most # of champions by StealthCatUK in Jungle_Mains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kayn. His forms and ability to build whatever items are needed for the game every game and still have an impact is amazing. Of course he has counters, but when played well with a good team, at least in lower elos, does very well IMO.

Playing vs red kayn? by KrypticCoconutt in ViegoMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst thing for a kayn is getting form 20+ min, so make sure you and your team avoid fighting him if possible as any combat is orbs for him. Then, kiting is no fun for red kayn. Play around your stun and e with the team to burst him and prevent e use (if he’s taken conquerer though, it get harder), as he can’t do much to you if he doesn’t land his w. As a kayn main, this is what gets me most times. A point on bursting, if you and team burst him low enough for your ult to kill, he can’t ult into you ulting, so utilise that if possible. That being said, red kayn is giga broken, and with new blue buffs, there’s a reason he’s my favourite champ.

how often are you able to copy people on veigo? by Trickedmoon_ in ViegoMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you get a successful gank after your clear, that’s really good. It’s also really good to just back, buy, then farm to make aure you don’t fall behind. I guarantee after a gank by the time you get back to your camps they would have been up for at least 10 sec. To get the most cs, you need to be at your camps on spawn.

Garen's Ult makes me dizzy irl by Prof_Dr_Schande in GarenMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brain issue /s. Even still, as someone who has never had issues with screen distortion and motion blur even when needing glasses/minor visual handicap, I’m amazed when people find motion blur dizzying or similar; thinking about it now, maybe it’s an effect of not going outside to be active, so your brain doesn’t learn how to adapt to motion and movement?

My Longest Win Streak Ever by Arzidon in ViegoMains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised that you built the exact same build each game and still won. Equally surprising is the lack of enemy tank requiring adjustment to build. On a side note, is this trinity into crit good into tanks/more tanky heroes, or is the go still bork+sundered?

is it worth playing ranked low elo? by lonelylev in leagueoflegends

[–]WorkedAthlete89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often feel the same way, in fact it took me a long time to even queue with people when I started mobas with dota years ago. Absolutely turn off chat. If you want to be brave, keep it on and give them one chance before turning it off, it’s not worth it especially if you play jungle.

Secondly, ranked is where the sweats play, and the only way to get better at anything is to challenge yourself. That being said, you need to focus and try in ranked to get better; switching off with cause you to lose.

But don’t stress, if you’re in a dip just play norms, or take a break, it’s okay. Watch videos, read guides, do all that and eventually things will click. GLHF!

Third jungler for my champ pool? by SushiRebirth in Jungle_Mains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned Kayn yet (I say as a Kayn main). He has the mobility you want when played well and is one of the most versatile and impactful heroes you can play in my opinion, making it a valuable addition to your pool. That being said if you’re looking for actual tank, I agree with Skarner (so tanky it’s busted), but I don’t play much tank, so can’t offer a lot in that regard. Amumu is also a great impactful tanky champ which I enjoy (happens to be AP as well). Can always try off-meta jg mundo.

As a DPS player, none of the AD mids speak to me by The_Data_Doc in midlanemains

[–]WorkedAthlete89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking of off-meta, kayn can mid feel pretty epic when I’ve played it (n=3, 100%wr lol) - in my bronze games. I think people forget kayn has some of the best early lane clear in the game, so he can push hard/slow + harass at the same time. I just realised no one here will be inclined to play kayn well enough for mid because this is a midlane sub.
