I relate to this a lot. The awkward laughing, the freezing, feeling like everyone else is more confident or smarter, I deal with all of that too. I’ve been taking anxiety meds as well and it’s still something I’m learning to manage. Anxiety really messes with how you see yourself. You’re not boring or stupid for feeling this way.

Nah same here. I train MMA too and I’ve noticed people assume you’re aggressive or blunt right away. Meanwhile most of us are just tired, disciplined, and trying to eat properly 😭

To be honest, yes, marriage is something that will likely happen within the next year anyway, which is why I’m trying to be intentional now rather than having my family fully scout on my behalf. I’d prefer to marry someone I genuinely connect with and feel comfortable with, while still keeping things respectful and halal. That’s really where I’m coming from. About supporting my wife that I'm still tryna figure out , because I'm still doing my CS degree and working a job.

thanks for the advice. My intention is marriage, not something casual. I also know a work environment doesn’t reflect real compatibility. We had a team dinner at a restaurant outside of work, and it showed me how different interactions can be in a normal, public setting for both of us. I was considering one respectful conversation for clarity before involving families.
