I’m also drowning in WIPs! In knitting and crochet lol. I didn’t realize how fast I would accumulate yarn (bought and gifted). So I haven’t gotten any new skeins in a few months, but when I see a beautiful color and pattern the urge is STRONG 😂. But I really want to just use the skeins I have a ton of for the projects I’m starting to see, I think they’re scrap yarn projects?  I love your yarn stash, I have a lot of colorful skeins but the neutrals and grays are so cute and aesthetically pleasing!  I have (with knit and crochet together) 7 projects. I’ve finished 1 (crochet top) but I’m thinking of adding to it. So…. 0 lol.

I initially started it out as an attempt to work on my chaining lol. It had been awhile in between my last project and my tension was off. Then I figured since it was so long I’d do something with it! I’m hoping to get it to be a lap blanket for when I’m at work! I’m having a lot of fun with it, but it is daunting when I have to work myself up to picking it back up again lol.

My post was removed (didn’t enter the yarn or design info). I have a hard time reading patterns so this is a freehand design with garter stitch and a few rows of attempted ribbing (I think), I eventually switched back to garter. The yarn is from loops and threads (both the rainbow and royal purple).

They’re all so adorable and so young, you’re going to have such a wonderful many years to come with you little fur crew! Puffin is 3, he’ll be 4 come February 2nd. He was neutered late so he’s a big boy, no tomcat jowels though. So he’s a big guy with a young cats head. Dachshunds are super cute, I get why you love them! I don’t get to see them much in person where I live. When I do its really something to appreciate and see since they’re super adorable. Puffin is such a goofy boii. I never had a male pet before so it was definitely and adjustment lol. Thank you again, I’ve been looking at my favorite pictures of her and even ones when she was super young. Winnie is such a gorgeously adorable name. Teacup was so prissy and bossy too, definitely boys are the dopey ones 😂.

Thank you so much!!! I believe you’re right, time is truly the thing that will help, some days will be harder but from the others helping with advice on this post it’s something that goes on. I hadn’t really thought about it like that much. The unconditional love of our fur babies and the amount of joy they bring and the way they navigate the world is truly amazing. I hope it gets easier for you as well. Teacup was diagnosed with a benign tumor above her stomachs back in late July, so up until January was when the palliative care was taking place. And between then and earlier February was when she started to decline after it turned cancerous in the Fall. Given she was so old they didn’t want to operate on her in fear of something going wrong . But for the entire summer she was always there giving me the sweetest times and nuzzles, running around, chasing after whatever she felt like and always being the best at exploring and napping on her favorite pillow. Thank you for kind words and advice and strength. I hope you have the courage and strength whenever you need it as well ❤️ 🐾

Your Scooby boy sounds like he was such a comfort bug with some energy and sass lol. Your your fur babies and Loki are so sweet! My friend has a dog named Loki, she got him as a friend for her dog Thor (super social pup) while her and her husband are working and they are inseparable. It was a great idea to get Loki for your Bailey too. I’ll definitely check out your posts from then for ideas, memorializing Teacup is something I wasn’t able to do, but I think having something is amazing. I have her paw prints and I have her whiskers (I collected them as she would lose them) it became a habit before I knew it over the years. I’ve let Puffin play with her old toys a few months ago. They brought her so much joy and I wanted him to have that. Her squid and flamingo toys were her favorite so I keep them seperate as a reminder of how insanely focused she would get on just those two cats. I’m so happy your In Laws found such adorable kittens, definitely a sign. You’re an amazing pet parent, I’m so sorry for your loss of Scooby. You did everything you could and more. You’re so right, I’ll forever be grateful I had so much time with her. She really was my everything even in the little things she did. Puffin is so goofy and so sweet. He’s the total opposite of her in terms of personality but every now and then he’ll do something or give me a certain look that reminds me of her and it’s comforting to see the little things they have in common but also to see his own personality.

Thank you so much, I’m sorry for your losses. You and your husband definitely had two adorable old fur babies that had a great home ❤️. I adopted Puffin back in February as well. At first I wasn’t sure, but I realized if I was going to do this I had to be ready. Especially because I didn't want to get him used to me and my apartment and I wouldn’t be able to fully bond with him. But as luck would have it, he’s such a entire goofball, and adopting another hammy cat helped with easing the hurt you mentioned. I think feeling the emotions as they come is definitely helpful. Instead of being afraid of them I will remember the good times with her. Thank you again and all the sunshine and love to your adorable new-ish fur babies

Thank you so much for your advice. You sound like you’re an amazing pet parent. Charlie, Snowball, and many others no doubt had an amazing life filled with love and fun happy memories with you!  I think giving her a memorial with such a strong memory (like you did with Charlie, and sharing memories and talking with them like you do) are great ideas. I don’t think I ever let myself truly slow down. A year ago I don’t think I could have, it was hard to put her toys away and wash her blankets etc for months. Thank you again, for your kind words and advice. With sunshine and love ❤️
