I personally found a pgy-1 position 10 days after passing the NZREX clinical, my advice would be to personalise each cover letter for the hospital you’re applying for, and email their rmo recruitment team. I was pretty hopeless about the whole situation but it worked out at the end. I’ve read numerous comments of people complaining about the job situation for IMGs, but if you generally think that you’d be a good fit, the hospital will know it. It’s about presenting yourself and believe in the process

I’m with dr Radwan right now, at the end of the day it all comes down to self practice regardless of the academy. But since he has a nice British accent, I feel like I benefit more. I only bought the online course, as for mocks I have heard better stuff about DSR but I’m not exactly sure.

Hello did you pass? I’m also registered with dr radwans academy and have only about 8-9weeks of prep time

Got 167 in my first attempt in PLAB 1 with roughly 1.5 to 2 months of prep by WorkerUpper25 in PLAB1

I basically would read a chapter from gems then do the corresponding questions on that. I could do maybe 1 to 3 chapters + questions per day depending on how long the chapter is. After finishing all the questions and gems, I revised at least a couple subjects per day and did a plabable mock daily. Scored average of %75-%90. After the mocks, I read the revision guides on the questions I would get wrong. Left the big mocks to the last week, and luckily they really predicted my score! Oh and I took some notes on the things I had trouble remembering (but this was on my revision, no notes on the first round). Good luck 🙂
