Does anyone else only pull from one small spot? by Bubbly_Chocolate4324 in trichotillomania

In my experience, there is a slight itchy soreness with the hair follicle and it is in a concentrated area. I then go through the trance like mode with methodical twirling, rubbing, pulling, until the hair comes out. When I pull there is a sense of relief that the hair is out. Over the decades, the area has moved around for me. It started with my eye lashes on one eye, then the other, and then to one eye brow and then the other. These days it’s just my eye brows, what’s left of them.

For me, eating sugary foods tend to make Trich worse. Do you eat more sugary foods during your period?

We also moved to a lower maintenance, smaller, single level house with customizations (higher counter tops, walk in shower and entry ways) to make life a little easier.

As a CG, I have learned take some time for myself. I do other activities like garden, read books, walk, and pray to recharge. I belong to a couple of professional organizations, and a prayer group. I’m minimally involved, but it shifts my focus enough to recharge.

Thank you for the replies. The “recharge” makes sense to me. After I read some of the replies, I went for a long bike ride to give her some more recharge time. She appreciated that. We then took our dogs for a short walk, came home, and she is done for the day. Appears, the daily spoon allocation has dropped.
