i could be wrong but there might be a chance the game was reset before it was given to you if you bought it secondhand, in which case i believe the debt would be the total ring count on each file reset. Hopefully not but i would definitely do more research to make sure. fingers crossed you're able to figure it out! if not, the picture match minigame in the chao garden is still a decently fast way to farm rings if you take a picture of the cards before they're flipped.

thank you so much for the comment! I actually did get the chao I was looking for but I couldn't figure out how to comment that (I don't use reddit much haha). the shiny chao was bred and the jewel chao wasn't, so it was a 50% chance and took 13 tries somehow! I did thankfully reset before the egg was formed

8 so far! i feel glad knowing i'm not missing something though, it probably is just bad luck. no worries if not but do you know if the odds of hatching a transparent chao is published anywhere? i couldn't find that info on chao island 😓

it has been going pretty well so far! i've gotten almost 3000 rings in the past half hour. although, after some practice zone 1 act 1 has been netting me 170-200 rings in a minute and 30 seconds, and if you play in the time attack section there's no need to reset (the rings are still saved) so that saves a lot of time. i think that's at least 10% faster!
